Realism

I'm trying to make a realistic-looking city and airport in the future. What does a realistic city/suburb and airport look like? I've read on one comment saying that "Not every space should have a building" or something like that. With airports, I like widebodies, not a fan of the small narrowbodies like the 737.

I also think cities look denser or better without parking lots and other things like that.

Real cities have huge amounts of non-building spaces and civics.. For all of your interest you would benefit from hoping on GoogleEarth and taking a look at real cites. (if you're interested in realism that is).. if you're just ram'in and jam'in, just do what you like.. Almost every city over 35000 has an airport in or around in various forms from tiny to monsters.. and there is a whole forum of "air fans" .. you might take a read in those and perhaps join in..

I'd take a look at some stuff on Google Earth or Street View, although it really depends on what style city you are trying to achieve.

Check out the City Building Concepts Section of the forums. There is probably a show us your airports page where people have posted their custom made airports. Also do a search for airports in the City Journals Section. Good Luck.
