    Hey Mike, this thing is growing fast.  Really enjoyed reading the newspaper articles, especially the shooting at the train station.  Of course, I also enjoyed the traffic cam.

    Thanks you guys!

    Update Rescheduled... Tonight I'm really busy with stuff so tomorrow, I will show you a sneak peak of Laguna Bay's sister city, Hammock Hills...

    HISTORY OF HAMMOCK HILLS

        When the SimSpain explorers claimed Cabel Beach in 1503, they landed first in Hammock Hills. As the colonies advanced, the trade increased. Areas like Galena, Paradise Hill, and Canarsie benefited greatly by industry; manufacturing and shipping tools to SimAmerica. The Hammock Hills area was the bay's agricultural center, where crops would grow in the fertile land. Hammock Hills doesn't have a hilly landscape, making it easy to set up farms and produce food to ship to SimAmerica. SimSpain was rolling in riches by 1700, much of their income depending on agriculture. In 1706 when the Maniochaps took over the bay area, Hammock Hills had a transformation from agricultural and rural to densley populated.

    Today, Hammock Hills is a center of tourism. Many people stay on the watefront hotels. There is some important industry to the north.

    Did you know?
    Cabel Bay had a rich history of manufacturing and meat packing during the 1700's? Agriculture centered around the idea of meat packing; farmers raised cows and pigs and slaughtered them. Manufacturing businesses grew large; with the production of simple tools ideal for farming or building.

    So that was a little on the history of the Hammock Hills area. Hope you enjoyed!

    Update tomorrow!

    49.gif Update 5

    Hammock Hills

    Well, I am back from Florida. I had to drive down, thats why I was so late in giving an update. I live in NY so it was a loong trip. I have to say that the trip was very influential. So here we go... Update 5!

    Hammock Hills
    Hammock Hills is located right next door to Laguna Bay. It is currently in the process of growing, but there are some hotels and notable buildings on Seaport Island.

    Seaport Island is home to many hotels that rise over the turquoise bay. The area is a huge tourist attraction. Many people visit Seaport Island's wonderful beaches and famous lighthouse.

    This update will focus on Seaport Island. Hammock Hills is in the process of growing outwards.

    Hammock Hills as of right now.

    A view of Seaport Island. This island is home to notable hotels. The island is also known for its many many palm trees. Also, snorkeling is a popular spot here too.

    align=baseline>

    The western part of Seaport Island has some hotels and restaurants. Asbury Harbor is seen on the northern side of the island. Those two marinas are heavily used daily. On the south side (Cabel Bay), the Seaport Mariott Hotel is seen, along with the Seabreeze Hotel and Convention Center, just steps from the beach. To the east of that is the Oceanview Resort and behind that on the north side is the Dolphin Hotel.

    Here is a view of Asbury Harbor. The Seabreeze Hotel and Convention Center is seen along with part of the Mariott. Many boats dock at the harbor everyday.

    align=baseline>

    The island's KFC restaurant tucked in between the Mariott and the Seabreeze Hotel/Convention Center.

    The Seabreeze Hotel and Convention Center, along with the Seaport Mariott.

    align=baseline>

    The Dolphin Hotel on the north side of the island is home to some marinas and a beautiful walk-deck. The hotel is usually booked to the max since it can only hold 100 visitors at a time. The hotel has a stay limit which enforces a rule that allows a family up to four days max at the hotel.

    align=baseline>

    Here is the luxurious Oceanview Hotel located on Seaport Island. Just across the street from the palm-filled beach, the resort is the highest rated on the island. With all sorts of palms and tropical flora, the hotel is loved in Hammock Hills.

    align=baseline>

    Here is the only road route onto and off the island. It is the Seaport Bridge, which is a two laned route onto and off Seaport Island. Despite its size, it can hold lots of traffic at a time.

    align=baseline>

    And the eastern half of the island is shown above. The Grande Tunis Hotel is seen here, the second highest rated hotel on the island. Barely seen is the Seaport Lighthouse marking the end of the island.

    align=baseline>

    Here is the Seaport Island Ferry Terminal, which links the island to the mainland. It is used alot during the weekday and weekends.

    align=baseline>

    Perhaps the most historical landmark on the island is the Seaport Lighthouse, which back in the 1700's directed ships into Asbury Harbor. It is open to the public and observing from the top is just $1.00 per person.

    And here are some night shots...

    Thats Update 5!
    Tune in soon for the mainland of Hammock Hills, and also a region shot!
