McPhee County

Founded: 1822

Population: 614,780

County Seat: Womack

Largest City: Womack(Pop: 293,452)

Transportation:

McPhee County has two major rail routes running through it as well as a few minor routes. McPhee County has a main interstate and a minor interstate aswell.

Landscape:

Almost completly flat it is known to many as the "Floor" of the Midwest. Fey River, a major tributary of the Missouri River runs through McPhee County.

McPhee County, while having a relatively good sized city within its boundaries is still a rural area which can be seen in all areas from small towns to cities(to a lesser extent)

Disclaimer: I have never really been anywhere outside of the west coast of the US/Canada + Finland and therefor have little idea of what the midwest is like, I have just seen it in photo's and that is my sole inspiration for this journal. It is completely based on FICTION.

Later on in this journal it will become interactive, you have been warned 2.gif

Hey, Lacey,

I used to work with a young lady named Lacey who was in high school.  The oldest of seven, she was hardworking, fun, and a joy to be around.  I miss her a great deal since she went off to college, something her parents were not able to do.  She has sent me a Christmas card every year since she left.  She's almost done with her third year.  Next year she will be student teaching in a large city school.

Well, I digress.  21.gif  I looked through your Avista Journal.  It was quite unique and good.  It was an interesting story aspect about the flood and the canals that helped to prevent another one.  The city had defining touches.  You worked with slopes quite well, a more advanced style of play.  I felt like I was actually in the game when I scrolled your endless mosaics.  I am a rural junky, so I can't wait to see your countryside.  Don't let it get too big, OK?  3.gif

Bye for now.

I love the light your pics have, very nice and very realistic!

About the train automata it's easy, search for the one you like in the STEX and simply install it on your Plugins folder (the majority of them work like this). You only have to remember that you cannot have installed more than one train automata skin at a time.

    Hey Everyone!

The Previews are now over, and to celebrate we are going to a cabin on the outskirts of Leona.

I worked really hard on this first official update and hope that it shows.

    First some info on Leona

Leona is a small city very close to Womack(to the east) and is the largest non port industrial center with almost 30,000 industrial jobs.  The Residential population is 21,000 and the commercial is hovering around 6,500(Mostly services with 2 small offices). The city is largly influenced by rail, that is how most people commute. This is the 4th largest city and the fastest growing city in all of McPhee County.

Wow, what an amazing mosaic! I've loved the variety and greenness of that suburb... The only thing I haven't liked are the train station platforms, I think you've placed both stations the other way round as the parking lots are facing the tracks; but everything else is just perfect!

    Hey Everyone!

I didn't have alot of time, but I have some photo's to give you a better view of Leona, which is growing.

The Commercial Center of the city is at the meeting of the railroad and the highway.

    2ecoi2o.png

Further along the highway, there was a housing boom.

    19sdup.png

    and it grew outwards

    zikavc.png

As the population increases, so does the density.

    2lcbc4p.png

The River seperates the city, in most part the industrial from the residential. These two bridges are the most often used.

    dy9ba8.png

Often, the river will get foggy at night.

    2h7dxf6.png

Rail runs through the city, and plays a huge role in the development of the industries.

    2h3r3lx.png

    9qjs41.png

As you can see, I got a train automata to work.

    30v172s.png

The Interstate runs through the outskirts of the city.

    14n2p1y.png

Thanks for viewing, lets reach page 2 before the next update(Monday probably)

I think this speaks for itself...

Future updates will be about how this financial crisis has affected Leona, Nearby Cities, and the County in general. I needed to create a direction for this journal, I hope you guys like where I am going.
