 Hi simtropolis! I just wondering is there a way to make a slum city. Need to make it for my city journal. Any

mods that i can use or what?

You can search "w2w" (wall to wall) and this will give you some low wealth apartments. You can also search for "Garibaldi Arms" created by frogface. Hope this helps.

Additionally, you can switch over to sc4devotion and DL marczar's NYC public housing projects (there are 3 sets) if you aim to make it really urban. Otherwise, I totally agree with the above posts.

Keep in mind to really lower the taxes for R$ and CS/ CO $/$$, as well as for I$/

This suggestions can be very interesting for my CJ...

I rely on BATs to give the final touch to my slum cities; specially in delija21's and SimHoTToDDy's creations. Some Hong Kong pencil towers in bixel's packs fit nicely too.

First of all, high-rocket taxes of $$ & $$$ so they don't establish, but not on the C$$, a bit of them don't do damage. Also like in the real-life slums, make some dirt streets so they look undeveloped, or over the hills without terracing, it will look like the city was growing stop-less because of poor city planning, put few schools, and don't put hospitals, they will ruin the image unless they are lots of apartments around it.

Only put water when you decide to bring the apartments to the slum

I agree. Sims can lack most of the services, but you should give them water and electricity in order to grow the really "un-nice" tenements SC4 has or some custom ones...

It depends what type of slum you are building as to what type of buildings to use

Indian Slum:

More low rise and less formal as it is made from scraps and such, and is very densly packed

Slumy Housing in Hong Kong:

More mid to High rise and made from old, run down Apartment buildings more for if you where attempting a Hong Kong/South Chinese styled city

You could try building a "regular" city and then removing all police, schools, hospitals and cutting down the water for your commercial zones; for example.
