Modify click and drag for industry

I was wondering if anyone out there knows of a mod to change the way you zone industry to make it like residential and commercial? I know you can specify the size and direction by pressing 'ctrl' but I would like to be able to drag it into place like you can with houses without just getting a plain zone that can lead to random 1x1 buildings.

There is no mod for this. However, it is possible to "section" industrial similar to residential and commercial. See this thread for guidance.

Yeah I already knew about pressing ctrl (and alt) to section it but you have to do it 1 building at a time

So there's really no way?! I'd have thought some one would've wanted to change that. Just little *****ie me...

Zoning may be controlled by the game files that are not allowed to be "modded." Just a thought...

take either comercial zoning or residential zonging and lay out the size you want

then go over in with industrial

i noticed in my game when i did that that it kept the arrows and stuff- however i don't know if it will stop small buildings from growing
