Victoria, BC.  The link takes you to their general photo pages.

Victoria is the Capital of BC, and has one of the nicest climates in the world.  Being a Canadian citizen, I could continue to receive my Canada Pension benefits if I lived there.  These tend to evaporate if I moved out of the country.

I would actually love to live in vermont.

All the beautiful scenery and the peace of aloneness.19.gif

Its just so beautiful. Plus if you really wanted to go visit a metropolitan area (though id never want to really) New York is only a couple hours away. Include that with all the history from the original states and its my favorite place 44.gif

And for those people who say 'well this thread is what city' i say that i don't want to live in a city. Give me a nice house and a 100ish acres of woodlands and id be set for life

Awaiting signature arrival...

Z77: That is absolutely gorgeous! Same; I would far prefer to live somewhere rural; with some chickens and proper woodland (not much left of that in the UK these days) and mountains nearby.

Which is...kinda..like the place where I was born and lived.

If you think that is nice, try Algonquin Park at the same time of year or a little earlier.  Toronto isn't all that far away either.  Ontario -- Yours to Discover.

Z77: wow. beautiful! California is great, but i can't go anywhere, even in a dense forest, without seeing a garbage wrapper on the ground.

honestly, where do these people come from? polluters hotline?

Perhaps Chicago, on the north side of the city by the lakefront. Lincoln Park or some other neighborhood that's very nice and part of the city

Or LA, Venice Beach or Culver City in particular. Essentially the "California Dream".

If I stayed in Texas, it would definitely be Austin, or the lake suburbs where I would have a house on a cliff above the water, with a spiral staircase down to my own dock.

Your probably noticing a kind of theme here as well 4.gif

Some where not in this ghetto part of New York City, probably in the Hamptons where all the rich people live 4.gif

The Hamptons are all very well, but wouldn't you rather have a penthouse on Times Square?  I can't imagine giving up New York core with all the action for a quiet suburb.  But to each his own.  I live in the country, and the pace is quite different.

I live near goats and cattle in a big suburban neighborhood...I'd live in Seattle if I got the chance. A nice downtown loft or condo with a good location.
