Subway Question

When interconnecting subway lines that meet at right angles (e.g. North-South meets East-East-West) does

it suffice for them to cross at right angles or must some sort of circular arrangement be put in place like that used for railroads and monorails?  Thanks!

No, subways are the only Rail type networks that allow trains to make 90-degree turns.

You can connect them at a diagonal to make a hexagon, but that's the closest you'll get, sorry.

Thanks, that's what I thought.  Interesting that subways are the one exception.  This might make a good addition to the Omnibus - I didn't find it there.

It is possible to make 90 degree sharp turns for rail and elerail by simply writing about 4 lines of RUL, but they might not look so great. Most RL trains can't exactly take a 10m radius turn. GLR however can do 90 degree turns.

Seems like subway lines got treated like water pipes rather than actual rails since its the only other underground line next to the pipes. Laziness?

They aren't a part of the "pipe network" at all.. they are their own special class

You're right, but when you do strange connections with subways or criss-cross them randomly, occur the same strange phenomenons that happen when you do such things with water pipes.
