If you remove the PEG MTP Rural Roadways files you installed in your Plugins, this should get rid of them. If you followed the default PEG file structure they should be within the MTP folder within the PEGPROD folder within your plugins

Have deleted all of the files in the plugins folder. Also deleted my MTP folder in the PEGPROD folder. Nothing happened, still dirt.

Just tried the mod (at least I think it's the same one you used), and the effect went away after removing it. Do you remember how you installed the mod? You might try doing a search of your Plugins for files with zzzPEG in the name. That's what the actual mod files start with. Look in both plugins folders. Just a thought...

not in the second plugins folder.  Installed it as I would any other STEX item.  Extracted file so that the extracted and zip file were in the plugins folder then started the game.  Have tried:

    - deleting file to Recycling Bin

    - deleted whole PEGPROD folder

    - downloading sidewalk mods hopefully to override the PEG MTP Rural Roadways mod

    - Starting new region

    - Drawing over dirt roads and streets

    - Starting new city

    Nothing has yet worked

When I've used the mod, it creates a ZZZ PEG Facelift Mods folder, not a PEGPROD. Do you remember seeing that one?

So, even starting in a never-before-used city in a never-before-used region with nothing in either Plugins folder gives you the rural streets? Strange... Maybe reinstall the game as a last resort...?

It should create a folder called "ZZZ PEG Facelift Mods". CaptCity mentioned this above. Also look through any folders that say "MTP" on them. Or even a folder that says "Rural Roadways MOD"

When ever you down load something that has a ZZZ in it you should create a folder for that person. I name my folder ZZZ Pegasus.

Look through your plugins. Do a search of the folder and see if any of those come up.

Keep me updated and if we still cant figure it out I will take the picture to John and see what he thinks.

PROBLEM FIXED. Ordered a new computer on boxing day and it came this morning so had to reinstall everything anyways. BUT there is a problem with PEG MTP Rural Roadways Mod. Many other people have had the same problem that I have had (comments section of PEG MTP Rural Roadways Mod details window). You should fix this problem so other people don't get in trouble.

Im not seeing that in the forums there. Gotta link? I only saw 1 topic there and it was just 1 person with the problem and Peg was the only one to reply to it. That mod is from December 2005 and there hasnt been that many complaints. But I want to help get this figured out.

It seemed to me that the comments were more for how to get the mod out of the game, not that the effect wasn't being removed - but I could be reading it wrong.

tkuelker@gmail.com, still would be interested in knowing if you had anything at all in your plugins folder on your other computer.

If you have Vista, check in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Maxis\SimCity 4 Deluxe\Plugins. It might have gotten installed there. Im gonna PM Peg about this and see if he can jump in here on this conversation.

New computer is Windows 7 (barely any problems with the sc4 deluxe version by the way) I just didn't carry over any PEG downloads just to be safe, so again the problem is solved for me.
