Huge Commute Time Increase

I have a region of 600k Sims.  I am using NAM with Simulator Z and had very small commute times.  My SC4 disc got scratched to I bought a new disc and then uploaded the patch from SC4 website.  My compute time in all my cities immediately increased 4 to 5 times.  How can I fix this and what caused it?

In all likelihood you've changed the simulator when you reinstalled the NAM. There is documentation in the NAM on guidelines for what you want to do, and which one to use for your city.

I didn't reinstall the NAM when I added the patch.  It's still there because all of the road upgrades are available.  Should I delete the NAM from the folder and then reinstall (or is there an uninstall option)?  Thanks for your help!

hmm.. you shouldn't have.. but that isn't behaving properly. Are you sure SC4 is now version 640 (ie did the patches properly install?). The behaviour you describe is most likely caused by the fact you've changed the simulation for the networks. Look in the NAM folder and see if your simulation is still there (in plugins) Patching the game shouldn't have changed that (unless perhaps you had it installed in the install directory instead of the "My Doc's" folder. If all else fails, yes uninstall and reinstall the NAM.

I reinstalled the NAM and selected Simulator Z two times and I still have the same problem. What can I try next.?

    Edit by tungston:

    1.  Oh and yes I first uninstall the NAM and then reinstalled and still the same problem. What next?
    2.  Commute time spikes up and down with sharp peaks and valley's from 80 to 160.

Maybe it would help to post a few pic's of your game and charts?

OK, problem fixed. Here's what I did-backup all cities and uninstalled all CS and NAM programs. Reinstalled and everything works fine-weird! Thank all for your advise. Hope this helps if anyone else has this problem.
