I read about a way to to reuse landmarks or rewards. I was thinking it had something to do with holding down a key while plopping the Landmark or Reward.. If some one could let me know what the key is I would appreciate it.

I believe you can do it with no mod. I just can't remember what the key or keys are.

You don't have to build the landmarks and rewards that come your way. Just close the box when it pops up on you. They remain in your rewards menu to build later if you choose to build them. I almost always just close the box. If I intend to build them, I usually just go to the rewards menu and build it from there.

I hope that this helps you. -blakesterville.

I have read that before, but never tried it since I'm not much interested in cheats such as this. As I recall it allowed you to place 5 copies of the reward. If it actually works, I have no idea.. Just out of curiousity I tried it tonight. It isn't any of the usual cntrl, shift, or alt (or any combo of those). It also isn't any of the "place shortcuts" such as zone, track, police stations, etc as any of those would instandtly delete thereward from the pointer. Nor is it the space, insert, or delete keys. It may of course be some combo of those keys, but I couldn't verify it and got bored with testing it. Be interesting if someone could confirm that it even exists and what the key combo is.

The primary reason my interest peaked is that, if it works, it should allow multi-placement of the MML lots as they are "user programmed" reward lots and therefore must be placed once then reselected.

    Actually, you can.

First: Type ctrl+x to open the cheat code box. Then enter "you don't deserve it" that unlocks all reward buildings. Then you earn the buildings, and they are presented to you again.

    Hope this helps. --blakesterville.

The cheat has no benefit to "multi-placements"

And as mentioned this did not require any mod's

The way I've learned isn't a cheat but a code error on Maxis' part. I dont have any dialog pop-ups and when I get a reward, I check my reward box and plop say the golf course. then I go to the alerts scroll and open the reward, then click accept and I can plop it again. I never use cheats, but this seems like a free, easy way to double up rewards.

Yes, I've also experienced what Riot55 mentioned. Also, according to this thread here, holding 'Shift' will allow repeated plopping of rewards, but only when the reward is initially accepted. Once it is plopped and 'Shift' is released, the reward will no longer be available without using a 'cheat'. If memory serves, I have used that method before.

Also in the thread, there are instructions how to change a custom reward lot's properties to allow repeated plopping (if interested). Hope this is helpful...

Ahh.. well I had recalled it should be the "shift" key.. obviously it is a matter of timing. Thanks.
