Missing or Invalid Registry/INI entry???????

I am trying to install the SKU1 and BAT patches so my nightlights will work but I keep getting an error when I run the patch applications.  It tells me invalid registry/ini but then I hit ok and it keeps updating until the end where is says update was sucsessful.   I would have no colplaints if my nightlights worked but it seems as though the patch didn't actually install correctly.

Anyone have any ideas on what could cause this?????

I run SC4 off of an external hard drive.  Not sure if that would make any difference or not.

Are you using any modified SC4 program, no-CD crack or a cracked or "borrowed" copy of the game? The patches will work ONLY on the original installed version of the game.

You can check the properties of the game's .exe to see if the patches were actually installed. If the version number ends in .638 then the game patch was applied. If the version ends with .640 then the night light patch was applied. If the number is something else then neither patch was applied and there could be something wrong with the game files as SC4BOY mentioned.

i have the same problem. my game was copied to another disc shortly before i overused the original disc. any way to make the patch work?

Like SC4BOY said the only way you can get the patches to work is with a original non copied or cracked version of the game. If you want to install the patches you will have to clean or fix your original disc. If you cant do that you will have to buy a new one.
