SC4Mapper Questions and dependency questions...

First off, hi everyone, I'm new here, so that means this is probably going to be a question that's been asked a hundred times before, right?  I hope not.  I tried the search function, but couldn't find the answers I needed, I do apologize if this has been covered before.  So here goes;

I downloaded a set of maps, and it says I need either the SC4Mapper or terraformer to get them to work.  I've followed the links for the SC4Mapper but none of them seem to work.  I registered over at SCDevotion but it wouldn't let me download from the LEX.  Is there something I'm missing?  Is there any other sites I could find a download for the Mapper that are trustworthy?

Next up, I noticed a lot of the files in the STEX have dependencies, is there a way to find the files that are the dependencies without looking through 495 pages worth of awesome mods?  And once found, how do I set the dependencies?  Do I have to have them in the same folders as the objects, or is anywhere in my plugins folder good enough?

Thanks in advance,

EljayK

BTW, you guys have some awesome stuff in the STEX here.  The fact that someone made a file of the Uniroyal Tire here in Metro Detroit is just flat out awesome!  I downloaded it as soon as I saw it.

You must SEPERATELY register at the LEX to download before you will see a download button on items there. The download doc's or the download page generally shows the dependencies. There is a dependenciy list both here and on SC4D (it is a picture of a brown box on the login page while the LEX is a pic of like a world) And basically no, you just have to chase down the links for dependencies The list is I think still being maintained intermittantly by Diggis.

although ocassionally the file's info will have a hyperlink to the dependencies (I am thinking of PEG in particular)

Hmm... you can try looking at the read-mes and you can try clicking on the links given to you from when you installed the mod in your plugins folder. I also don't know about the other mods because some people don't include a read-me. Also i don't know of a faster way for this.
