This is my future army base. I made it myself.

Part of the base has an underground missile launching facility.

That's some pretty good work there! You clearly spent a fair amount of time putting all of that together!

It seems this thread went silent, but I think I have some screenshots that are appropriate for the topic-

I posted pictures of this airfield in another thread but I feel it is as complete as it is going to get.

WLZZGE0.jpgThis is Davis Air Force Base, located in the mountains northeast from the large cities. The story behind this airfield starts with a town that gets its funding from the oil buried deep in the core of the mountains. The town wanted to build a small airstrip for tourists and pilots but one year there was an oil shortage and the airport was abandoned right after a runway was finished. Shortly afterwards, the government stepped in looking for a secluded base that can take F-35 Lightning II's and can use these aircraft for technology/armament test beds. The government saw the runways were just long enough for the aircraft in its inventory and picked up construction where the town left off. But then some of the F-35 fleet was left out in a winter blizzard and the weather damaged the stealthy skin, effectively grounding them. To fill the gap, some F-14 Tomcats that were assigned to one of the two carriers based in the region were borrowed to carry out further testing.

Another view showing the flight deck and runways. Two of the Tomcats are getting ready for a routine patrol of the mountains while a Lightning comes back after a successful avionics test.

I've attempted this type of city in the past. Before doing all this work, I just had the Area 5.1 plopped that way I could test the UDI jet fighters that I uploaded to the STEX. Unfortunately the way I had everything planned out then was hideous; so I turned to this thread and CJs for ideas on what to add. There are more pictures showing detail shots in the

This is a little something I came up with involving part of the region's navy. In these shots, there are two cruisers, two battle ships and a carrier navigating the waters outside the bay. The sailors on board are going about their daily routines with most having lunch.

At the same time, the navy is also conducting some air-to-air training using dissimilar aircraft and in uneven numbers. In this session, it will be Hornets vs. Tomcat vs. Lightning where the heavyweight Tomcat will be facing the nimble Hornets and the Lightning will be put through it's paces tracking multiple aircraft at once.

    In Berlin...

The game is even better when you know who to choose to play with

"Herr Generalfeldmarschall, with our triumphant victories over both Dänemark und Österreich, let us examine the maps for our next preemptive defensive adventure to preserve the peace in Europe":

"Have that Graf von Zeppelin fly one of his Bratwurst-shaped dirigible thingamajigenschen over one for aerial reconnaissance."

    "Jawohl, Herr General!"

    ...

    V7hewKy.jpg

    "Mein Gott...STAR FORTS!!!"

"Nein, nein, nein, nein, NEIN!!!  Howitzer units are expensive, und the civilian advisers are already nagging me to instead build more granaries und temples to reduce citizen unhappiness."

"Sigh, what of Belgien und the port of Antwerpen?"
