Question about files

I was just wondering, is it a bad thing to keep the ReadMe files and BAT images in the plugins folder? When I first started using plugins, I kept them in there because I didn't know any better, and it worked fine. But the game has been quitting on me recently, so I was wondering if keeping those files would assist in that.

Having a lot of Readme, image, and other non-game file types could possibly cause a slow-down at startup because the game loads and reads all files in the plugins initially. If you want, those files can be removed from the folders and stored elsewhere if you desire hanging on to them.

Once the game has started, however, these types of files shouldn't affect performance. Your game stops are probably another issue. You might give a few more specifics about the issue to get more assistance...

I think it's a good idea to keep the readme, and image file with the plugin so you know about the plugin. It won't slow the game start down significantly.
