3dsmax Issues!

I keep getting this error when I try to startup 3dsmax 8, my computer was turned off by a power out 2 days ago if this helps. Is there anyway to get it to work again?

it seems an error with BAT4max, because I see strange buttons in the util menu and the error window talks about scripts.

Did you use 3dsMax before this error or this is the first time you open the program?

Yes -> probably you have to reinstall it (but I'm not sure if this can work)

No -> BAT4Max files aren't in the right folder

(OT - do you use battlefield 2142?)

I have used Bat4Max for ~3 months before this happened... and it was in the right folder. I'll reinstall everything for 3dsmax 8.

PS. Yeah, I do play BF 2142. Do you? I also play BF 2

It's strange...

Does 3dsMax work without using BAT4Max (move the folder somewhere else)? After trying this we should know if it's a max or a BAT4Max problem.

Well, if you're doing anything with that .ini file, then it means you're using an old version of BAT4Max anyway. Use the version of BAT4Max stickied to the top of this forum.

Okay, I reinstalled 3dsmax 8 completely, and it works fine. But I installed Bat4Max 2.6HD correctly, along with LTBL, and now I ONLY have LTBL options, no parameters, no rendering...

I can see from the vid that 3ds Max closes after sending the message error (is it true, I can't see very well?).

Have you tried Ctrl+E when you're in 3dsMax (can you use 3dsMax?)

I fixed 3ds max by doing a complete reinstall and following the Bat4MAX 2.6 HD instructions perfectly for installation, and this is a rough model I made to test it. It works perfectly!

And I can use 3ds max
