High-tech industry low profits

Why all my high-tech industry has a profit around 65%(but not bankrupt)? All other initiators are 100% green and the global satisfaction of high-tech industry is 100%.

     The freight is green so I don’t think that there is a problem there. The traffic around the high-tech industry area is between yellow and green but I have many large avenues around the high-tech industry area.

    The High tech buildings are only sensitive to freight and pollution. If it's not those it could be over supply ,although it would normally tell you.  Good luck.

    I'm having similar issues with high tech.

    My city of 500k has high density high tech and offices and no other industry.  The freight is good (I think it's all green) for the whole city.  I have some unemployment, so there are plenty of workers.  I have excess of every token except high tech which is -1.  Why in the world is high tech showing low profit?  It seems like a bug/glitch to me.

    Someone has already mentioned freight and traffic, plus demand for the resource...

    Also check to make sure that they have their full compliment of execs/elites. If you have full employment, and business do not get enough of each population type, that can impact profitability dramatically. Noise pollution may also be a factor.

    Post screenshots, if possible, when asking about these kinds of problems.  Use your holiday overlay to check for pollution.

    yea, high-tech in my 13M populated city just stucks at 65%. Freight nor traffic is the problem, no token problem, no pollution (dont have any building that causes pollution in this city at all.) But i think it does not matter at in the end. It makes money, it produces tokens. Laser bugg.

    Have you guys noticed that 1mid level HT produces the same amount of income as the larger one?

    I wonder if that has something to do with token production too. Have anyone tested that?

    It would be weird tho if 1 mid HT produced the same amount of tokens as the larger building but looking at the income it got me wondering.

    I think this is a balance issue. I've had the same experience (although I had some air pollution in the city in question). Someone had tested this and had come out with the conclusion that the high-tech profits are limited to ensure a better online balance. In other words, the more high-tech you have in the city, the less their profits (even if you manage to sell all surpluses).

    Think about it: the cleanest industry, that has no drawbacks whatsoever (apart from the huge amounts of manufacturying it needs)... it it were allowed to reach its maximum potential, the city would become a no-brainer.

    Now that PO is over they may change this, let's see.
