A question about density

I,m new to the simtropilis forums and Simcity 4, anyway my city has grown large enough that it fills up the whole board but I cant fit any more houses an businesses in so how do I encourage higher density housing, I have zoned all the appropriate land to higher density but not that many apartments and high density housing fill the area, I check the demand levels but there is only a tiny amount of demand for the high density housing how do I raise the demand. I dont care if the houses are rich or poor.

You need to increase education, healthcare, police, fire and improve transport and the amount of jobs to get a decent amount of demand going.

If you need a place for jobs to be placed then put them in a neighbouring city.

Hey klambert,by raising demands ingame can be hard and you need plenty of buildings that increases desirability such as schools/colleges/high school,which boosts residential demand and placing civic buildings such as police stations,fire stations and hospitals can bring in high densed residential demands.

Since you really need a boost in your RCI demand,i would recommend some mods such as the Super Demand Mod,which greatly increases RCI demand,or to increase your mayor ratings and by adding more ordinances,do try out the Radical Ordinance V2 Mod.
