No night time lights

I just began downloading some very cool towers from the exchange, and I've been grabbing the dependency files which each lot recommends.  Most of the towers I've plopped in game are there, but there's no night time visuals turning on for those buildings.  I can't figure out what I'm missing.  Any help?

Well, sometimes, they take a while to turn on at night. But, it could be a dependency for the dependency, if that makes sense. Trust me, they're out there, scary too.

Solved my problem. Turns out I needed some updates from the Maxis site (I haven't played SC4 in a few years). Night lights are working, and the buildings look fantastic.

Hi, once you installed the patch, and the lights work, do you now find that for any new buildings that you plop, there are no props on them? ie cars, trees, benches and so forth, on the ground at the base of the buidling.

This is a problem I am having. It effects BAT'd and Maxis builsings.

This sounds like something has gone wonky in your detail settings.  Check to see if anything has been slid from high quality to medium or low quality.

Certainly. There are two places where you can get your files. The first is the official simcity 4 site, and the second is at sc4devotion (if you use sc4d, you might have to be logged in to be able to get 'em)

Hmm. Maybe you didn't get both updates? You need two to make it work. First this one and then this one.

If it isn't that, then I'm not sure if I can help you
