I just have to say, sc4 is still the most amazingly deep and challenging and fun city building game ever. after all these years i still enjoy it so much. in fact my disc has been ruined so i've ordered another one online. which just goes to show, its so good that its still making money even now.

i also have to confess that im feeling paticularly fanatical about sc4 after being so so let down by cxl. and i was thinking, i hope this game never dies. i hope that the community will always support what may always be the greatest city builder ever. also i was thinking, how amazing would it be if there could ever be a real sim city 5 one day. not neccessarily anything to do with ea or anything like that. but just something with just as much depth and and creativity and fun, and obviously completely upadated graphics. that would be cool.

i know this post seems very random but i just had to express my appreciation for what is still the greatest game i've ever played and certainly still king of the city building genre.

Even though some people have lost faith, everyone in this community (343,587 when i posted this) wants a new sim city game to come.

So hold in there my friend, hold in there.

sim city is a city simulator...

cities is a city builder

if you like stacking legos get cities

if you like full on city simulators get sc4

the only thing simulated with cities is traffic

sc4 will rule forever as a city simulator (dezone, rezone, upgrade, variable zone size, sliders on funding for services, massive regions)

no need to guess with sc4... if the sims move up to r$$ or $$$ then they build themselfs a new home

in cities you need to guess where to build things and with no sliders a few hospitals may need you to start your city all over again (or fall into massive debt) or remove and watch everyone move out... and have to remove more services and leasure untill everyone moves out and your city dies

when playing the cities beta i would pull my hair out trying to do the simple things... like manage leasure and healthcare for a city of 7 million... in the end the easiest thing to do was delete the city and play sc4

i think i played more sc4 than cities when i had the beta...

now i see they are offering more buildings for cities in 3 updates... (yeaa more legos -duh) which has not sparked any imagination

(although i think that tycoon city new york could probably sue for offering the map of ny with all the roads already there)

in conclusion: simulators are awesome... 3d builders fail (just look at societies and city life)

sc44ever!!!!

our world is a simcity
