mmmm... with the list of bugs growing and the average rate of bug fixing at MC of 2 per week, we'll have a finished game by the end of 2010, which is really a shame. This game could be so great!

List of bugs:-

  1. Backspace in city search panel doesn't work
  2. "Don't show again" option not working, or eratic
  3. Selecting roads can be really fiddly - should work anywhere on the graphic rather than it's invisible centreline, which it seems to be currently.
  4. Option to change graphic style of road bridges (in the upgrades panel) does not work
  5. Laggy trade. Cancelling deals with OmniCorp takes longer and longer the more you do in a row, for example.#
  6. Sometimes no icons in marketplace until close and re-open trade window
  7. Sometimes the build options are locked when they shouldn't be. Usually happens to housing and retail. Randomly it will come back to life and unlock again.
  8. Visual bug on plaza placements under bridges. Does not draw nicely sometimes
  9. Various crashes, dumps, graphic driver crashes, lock-ups, lag and long load/save times with ~5m pop
List of suggestions / improvements:-

  1. Build tools should remember the last tool you were on in each main catgegory (i.e. stay on curved roads until you change it back, same for housing type (class and density for those with 3 levels of choice)
  2. Need to be able to select individual parts of auto generated curved roads, so that you can change the one way assignment more precisely if need be. When drawing more complex layouts, sometimes you get it that a one-way road points different ways at one junction (e.g. pointing towards each other) becuase of the direction the road was originally drawn from. Even "splicing" in a new road does not make the individual end bit behave any different. The error just shuffles up to the next junction!
  3. Placing bridges - surely the "help box" is not necessary after the game knows you have built your first bridge?
  4. Would be nice if the interface rememberd your window settings (i.e not always have the "view" panel open at startup if it was left closed. etc.
  5. A slightly larger area that the plaza fill can reach please!
  6. "Add all tokens" button in the blueprints window, to move all available tokens with one click.
Quite honestly that's all I can find which I think is a fantastic achievement for a new game release these days!!

Loving the game... keep up with the updates and I will be hooked for years!

1. Memory leak. I thought this would be fixed by release.

2. Highway bridges are BROKEN. No matter what, the game gives an "Invalid Junction" message whenever you try to use them. Why did you have to "fix" the bridges, MC? They were fine in the early beta.

3. Lots of lag on trade interface, in SINGLE PLAYER MODE.

4.Switching from buildings to zones sometimes causes zones to become locked.

5. One way roads do not transmit passenger and freight services correctly.

Love the game~

In solo mode:

1. Interchanges will not connect to roads, avenues and expressways. There is a gap between the roads and the "no room" or "invalid junction" warning is issued when trying to connect them no matter how they are placed. The "not connected to city hall" warning goes off but the traffic fades out at the boundary instead of continuing on and traffic indicator never goes below bright green for the roads they are connected (?) to.

2. Trade credit not always issued for sufficient number of windmills (sometimes takes double the requisite amount--have checked the trading board before each windmill is placed to be certain the deficit hadn't increased while placing them).

3. Only since the most recent patch, placing roads will not start on the first click--may take repeated clicks to get a road started.

Since the patch today whenever I zone for qualified workers maybe a quarter of them are growing into some cocked up monstrosity that houses UNqualified workers and looks like a power plant with seats hovering above it in mid-air. I can demolish these and lay down a new lot but it's annoying as I'm getting tons of these things appearing and when plopping lots down one at a time I often end up with gaps and can't utilize all the available space.

Lets see..

1. Horrid, horrid lag when the game auto-saves. I mean, horrid.

2. Trade window in multiplayer is near-unusable.

3. Contract Suspended notification. Pops up a lot, never tells you WHICH contract, and lags like crazy. Oh and it prevents you from doing whatever it was you were doing when it appeared, but the city keeps on ticking.

One bug: you can't sell heavy industry (or i don't know how!) or decrease production :/

And quesion to MC: can you devs add PayPal as the monthly payment method? Because i want to play online, but i'm using PayPal...

And the game on Solo is haaaaard because i got none of workers per second and i must build new houses, and places to work. Some of my offices, industry has bankrupt because of workers and industry bugs (cant i dont know how to sell heavy indystry...)

Please scale the dificulty down... City on solo is hard to handle, some proglems with workers, and selling resources...

I've not had any problems selling heavy industry to omnicorp in solo play.

The bug I mentioned previously with the messed up buildings in qualified worker residential areas is still there. After further investigation it is a slightly mangled version of the heavy industry "Nail Factory" that is randomly appearing in my qualified worker residential areas. Mangled because there is a seat floating above it and it appears to house unqualified workers.

In addition to that, since the same update, several other qualified worker lots are now housing unqualified workers for some reason. Pretty annoying when I've got unemployed unqualified workers, a shortage of qualified workers and then when I zone loads of qualified worker areas in the nice part of town it ends up being filled with unqualified workers and nail factories. I can get around it by rezoning repeatedly till it doesn't happen, but it's annoying.

Since the same patch I'm seeing what seems to be a bus lane on my 1-way small avenue bridges. There are bus stops all along the bridge (no buses though). They don't seem to appear anywhere else, only on the bridges. Each bus stop has a zig-zag thing on the ground in front of it. Vehicles are using the bus lane but I'm not sure they're behaving normally - they seem to enter it and then leave it very soon after.

I absolutely love the game. I've been a programmer for over 28 years and the complexity of this programme still astounds and delights me.

I may be recapping some items, and there's only two real issues in my opinion;

1) The game grinds to a halt consistently after 30-40 minutes. A game restart solves this (a must fix please).

2) I havent tried it for a while but I could not get highways to work, I always got an "invalid junction".

Other lower priority items / recommendations are;

1) Please allow me to select any resolution my system supports. I know DirectX is a pain but this is quite important.

2) Can I pan the camera up and down at any zoom level? Helps with planning especially with mountainous terrain.

3) Can the bounded area for parkland placements be made bigger please. I too easily get a red-border. Ideally it would be great if any fully bounded area could be filled. If you have size limitations, then could an area could be broken up by the program and tiled?

4) Could contracts be automatically renewed after 5 days, or left on a 'suspended' list for easy and fast re-activation when I log back in?

On the trial I had some problems to:

1) All settings were set back to the old ones after restarting the game.

2) The game lags to much.

3) Somethimes you see your road going over another, but you can't connect them.

4) There is still the bug from the beta, you can see ground trought the roads, highways and so on.

5) You must guess how much you actually loose from income when you buy tokens, very frustrating.

6) SCRN Shot is not working in the trial.

More I don't know, because I do not yet have bought the official game. But I know what I want to see changed, made a special topic for that.
