Seattle gets very mild weather but occasionally gets hit by a minor earthquake and sometimes there is a forest fire in the mountains. California has gotten parts of hurricanes and it is hit by major earthquakes and brush fires often. Tsunamis are also not out of the question for the coast.

Ocram's Razor: Though "more things shouldn't be used than are necessary," they're just too fun to pass up! Expect many verbose arguments from me. I will try to write abstracts before or short summaries after from now on.

Words to live by:
"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit... But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually..." 1 Corinthians 4-11

"Do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:34
"Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you." Matthew 7:1-3

I don't think I've ever been in a cyclone. Earthquake yes, cyclone no.

To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.

-Steen Eiler Rasmussen, 1898-1990 (SimCity 2000 User Manual).

We've had a few minor tornadoes here in Western PA. That's about it.

That's why I love Austria:

No hurricanes, practically no earthquakes, nearly no tornados, nearly no blizzards .... 4.gif

I noticed that CaptCity edited one of my posts for the size of the images. I had cropped them from 1024x768 so I thought I cropped them enough.

Edit: Sorry, I thought that Skimbo's number was correct.

7743. The Netherlands are even better in the storm department: no earthquakes (well, save a few mild ones if you live near a gas field), no hurricanes, no tornadoes, and perhaps a blizzard or two during the winter.

7743.  (Korot is supposed to be 7742)

We dont get too many natural disasters...the last major hurricane was like 6 years ago....but i forget the name of it. It flooded my town pretty severely knocked a few trees down and outted all the traffic lights. But we dont get those too often.
