psets and more upsets.

Well one anyway

Chokelahoma loses to BYU at the Death Star ( a new Nick name for the Cowboy stadium)

I loved that !

Red Raiders didnt skip a beat and pounded N Dakota.

Look for Oklahoma to only drop one or 2 spots, and BYU to only go up one or 2 spots.

Notre Dame will move to the top 10

Mabey Tech get some love and makes it back in the top 25 but i doubt it. ( HA !  the Yahoo user rankings has tech at 13 )

More likely they will move Michigan up for Beating up a a small school. ( they will get Pounded  by Notre Dame next week, they didnt even score inthe 2nd  1/2 vs western Michigan )

Great weekend for college football!

Michigan ND was an instant classic, and the legend of Tate Forcier is born!

looking forward to USC versus Ohio State tonight. BC won 34-7, this year they have allowed 7 points and scored 88.

USC will most likely stomp Ohio State on their home turf, but then again, stranger things have happened.2.gif

I hate how much people dismiss FCS teams. There are a few that could win consistently at the FBS level.

On another note, Iowa looks like they may have found their ground game. Too bad Iowa State isn't much of measuring stick. Next weeks Arizona game should tell us more.

OSU has no reason to be ashamed. They played right with the best team in the country and led most of the night. Compared to last year, I am pleased. They just needed to manage themselves better in the red zone. There may have been a different outcome had they scored TD's instead of field goals.

Miami VT isn't exactly an upset. Everybody in the ACC knows VT is the team to beat [as they have been for years now]

BC wins in overtime over Wake Forest, 3-1, 1-1 ACC.

Ahh, Easy Bakes, I could have told you that the Raiders can't play much defense after watching two games in person. Their problem is that, while the unit is quite solid, it has few playmakers that can force turnovers or sacks. Almost like the Dallas Cowboys in their first two games this year. While that kind of defense works against smaller schools with less elite talent, it clearly does not work against big schools as evidenced by their last two losses to Texas and Houston.

Also, Taylor Potts is not that good. He puts up stats, but he is a true system quarterback, and one that makes alot of poor decisions. Alas, this is not the Red Raiders year.

Georgia Tech is good when they want to be, no matter who they are playing.

#22 South Carolina lost to #2 Alabama 20-6. I wasn't mad, they're no. 2 and are defense shut down the pass, they just ran over us. Now, Carolina is #24.......next week vs. Vanderbilt, we should win. Go Carolina!

They played some defence  today ! 42-21 Was there like no crowd there today, I  noticed a lot of empty seats, although ill admit  it was very late in the game  when i noticed it.

TCU rolls again. Utah the only bump i see for them.

Only upset was #13 V Tech losing to an unranked team.

    More surprizing upsets.

    bama over LSU was expected.
North Western over Iowa was not. Anyone ever wonder why Iowa is in the Big 10 and Iowa St is in the big 12, very wierd.

Cincinatti doges a bullet 47-45 after leading 30-10 at one point.
They will drop out of the top 10 for that, or at least swap spots with TCU who has thier big test against Utah next week.

Ohio st Penn st I consider a wash could have gone either way.

Dont know what to make of Oregon but Stanford always seems to beat  a ranked team every year.

Choklahoma's chance for a big bowl dies.

    Notre Dame still over rated.

I am content because Iowa lost. They have won so many close games. it has been driving me mad! And, they creamed South Carolina in a bowl game last year; I haven't gotten over that.

Badgers are playing well this year.

    7-2

close loss to Iowa, and should have beat Ohio state...

EasyBakes-Its simple, neither conference would benefit greatly from having both teams in their conference. Plus, the Big Ten wouldn't want Iowa State.

DCMetro-Winning close games aggravates me, too. Don't feel too bad about last years loss to Iowa, though.

Anyone thought about this scenario. If Iowa beats Ohio State Saturday and Arizona wins out the Rose Bowl will be a rematch. Iowa beat Arizona 27-17 in September. I wonder if the BCS would go for that.
