Anyway I can make simcity look "nicer?"

Hey guys, i keep seeing all these awesome videos and pictures where the quality of the gameplay graphics is awesome.  On my mac version i set the resolution to the highest setting and the clarity is awesome.  The game looks VERY VERY nice, not sloppy like my PC version.  I tried messing around with resolutions but nothing works, still looks grainy, crappy, like nintendo mario brothers.  I want it to look like my mac's version which is super sharp.  I just bought a brand new top of the line HP so i know it has nothing to do with my hardware.  Can anyone lead me in the right direction?

The specs of my computer are as follows. 

Intel centrion quad core, ATI mobility Radeon HD 4650 2185MB, 6144MB DDR2 memory, 500gig hard drive.

Im using simcity 4 deluxe/rush hour

What I don't understand is that, the picture im showing you is WAYYYYYY clearer/nicer then whats actually in gameplay.  My mac is this nice when i put it to max resolution, but the PC never changes.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you edit them in photoshop or microsoft office picture manager

The biggest issue with PC vs. Macs in this situation is the PC version doesn't utilize all of the hardware's capabilities.

Change your Color Quality to 32-bit, instead of 16-bit. The resolution should be the same as your monitor's resolution. Try switching back and forth between hardware and software rendering to see which is better.

Do you use the same monitor in both PC and MAC?
