Hi all, it's nice to see that here in ST you can be yourself without thinking that your sexual orientation can be something that would make you diferent, or in anyway inferior to those who believe to be the normal ones. Now, i know that not all think this way, actually most of the peopple i know have been very receptive and even nice to me when i came out to them, most wouldnt think of this as a bad or even a important aspect in the whole life of a person, to me your sexuality is just part of you, but it dosn't have to be what represents who you are.

On a final note, i invite you all to come to Spain, a country that since last july, gay weddings are legal, even for non-spanish persons, for example, if you are of the european union, you can come here, get married and live as husband and husband or wife and wife, although in your native country you are not married. You can also adopt children, if anyone is kind enough to give a child a protective and loving home   (living with gay parents wont make the child a gay child, i live with straight parents and i'm gay...)

What!?!?

No way.....I might have told you in MSN I'm not sure....but this is the first time I actually publically said it in chat.

Do not be so sure.. Then again, it might have been in PMs.. so that's maybe why it's in my memory that you told it in chat..

Which is why I never say anything to anyone when people tell me these things.  I can never remember who was around when someone mentions it.

At one point (last year, I think it was) I was on MSN and had 5 different people here, all at the same time, telling me they were gay or bi.  I'm still working on a better response than Oh, you too?  Okay.

Generally, I just put it in the pile with other demographic information like age, gender, country of origin, occupation and so forth.  For some people, it's a major, life-defining issue and, for others, it's just another fact.

No, I take that back.  For most, it's a major life-defining issue at some point.  Then they find a way to integrate it into the rest of their life and it's not such a big deal anymore.

We can inspire others through witness so that one grows together in communicating. But the worst thing of all is religious proselytism, which paralyzes: “I am talking with you in order to persuade you.” No. Each person dialogues, starting with his and her own identity. The church grows by attraction, not proselytizing.    - Pope Francis

Well, my one month anniversary in Canada has come and gone. Wow, it feels like it's been 100 years, considering everything that's happened.

    A short list of that:

    - met boyfriend for first time in a year and a half
    - dealt with government bureaucracy
    - survived two attempted swindlings
    - survived a night homeless as an indirect result of attempted swindling
    - found apartment
    - got job (which I start this Tuesday!) 44.gif
    - shopped at Ikea 3 times (none in Cincinnati) 32.gif
    - discovered Canadian postal system isn't worth a steaming pile of horses***
    - had a birthday

    And most importantly of all:

    - discovered that Torontonians in general could care less about anyone's sexuality

I know I've mentioned that last one a lot, but it's just too good to be true for me.

It's been an adventure. And I'm a better person for it. 48.gif
