Yeah, I did. Used far too much dutch courage and ended up being sick and cried the rest of the night, lol. That bloke is kind of my mentor now.

I actually enjoy coming out now, after doing it 4 or 5  times.

Well, I wasn't there... but judging from the posts in this thread, it was probably not because you disagree with the 'lifestyle'. It was more likely generalizations, insults, and lack of civil conversation that would have somebody banned from chat.

Like I said, though... I wasn't there, so I don't really know. 3.gif

I remember that in my gay $%&^! days(hehe gay $%&^!3.gif) I kinda used some of my gay friends as tutors9.gif

Now...when my cat or dog are being annoying, I usually just show them something shiny and they go away...

Matt is bi?? 47.gif

Wow, this closet becomes increasingly crowded everyday. 1.gif

zelgadis: A clique is a small, exclusive group if I'm not mistaken. And please note I added 'of sorts'. 9.gif

joesocwork: Ah, right. I sort of lost track of the main thread of the...thread (3.gif) after I whizzed through all of the posts; most of them rather...unpleasant.

I might have to apply to Simtropolis City Council for planning permission to expand the closet if we get anymore members.

Hmm... well, since we aren't exclusive here (I don't have a problem conversing with a straight person 2.gif), I would say we're more of a club. Where everyone is invited. Unless you try to get rid of the club. 2.gif

I agree with Mallow in that we lack exclusivity. We're open to anyone commenting here who's polite and respectful. So, welcome to the club, Ephorex. 2.gif

Also, I would be hesitant to refer to any minority group as a clique. As human beings, most of us are drawn to others with whom we share something in common.

And yeah, there was a little unpleasantness awhile back. We're over that now.

Like we care if this is now a club -- why can't we start a casino?

I must clarify you on this from what I have gathered. You dont mind conversing with a straight person as long as he/she agrees with your lifestyle.

Not really, Subedei. Example: One of my closer friends is homophobic. He just keeps his mouth shut, so do I. Done.

No, as long as he/she doesn't attack you with a knife or shows any other form of hostility towards because you're homosexual. That does not mean everyone who doesn't approve of this lifestyle, but just those who use force..

It happens. Worse happens every day. Just don't let yourself get caught up in this emotionally; or you'll spend years being shocked and sickened. tbh there's nothing you can do about it.

EDIT: Ooooh, I'm an Urbanite, yay!

No, I stick to what I orginally said. As long as the intent of the person is not to get rid of this thread, we have no problem conversing with them. 19.gif

I don't understand something that would otherwise be somewhat straight forward.

Why continuesly return to a thread that supposedly offends someone, surely it makes sense to avoid an area (or people) that offend you?

It dosn't make much sense to me, unless of course it's not as offensive as some make it out to be. Therefore this thread is more intriguing to those that it supposedly offends, rather than being completely wrong or disgusting.

Or such a person might be trying to provoke a reaction from people because they feel the thread should be closed. That's why, if such a person existed, we would all agree a few pages ago to just kinda ignore such a person.
