I just started high school today, and I will no longer have time to update this CJ. I will try to update during the weekends, but don't expect frequent updates anymore.

3 weeks for me. Last year I thought that being busy due to being a freshman was going to prevent me from wasting time making CJ's or playing xbox or whatever....It didn't 9.gif.

Freshman year was actually easier than 8th grade. Anyways, looking forward to the return of this CJ!

As you can tell, I haven't updated in a couple of weeks. I was thinking about posting an update yesterday but SC4 crashed on me and I gave up. Today, I came to a realization... this CJ is dying. The frequency of updates has decreased over the past month. So, if I'm not going to be updating, then why still say this CJ is active?

Unfortunately, ending this CJ would make it the 5th CJ I would have killed. I feel like people will stop taking my CJ attempts seriously.

However, there's no point in saying the CJ is alive but not updating. So, this CJ is ended.

All files will be backed up in the event that I change my mind later.

Hmm....being a freshie must be pretty difficult for you 9.gif

Too bad you're ending this CJ, it was progressing very nicely. As for the taking cj attempts seriously, I don't think anyone takes any CJ seriously. Just be cool and do what you want.

agian, great updates and history of all the cities. but just a note: automata settings from NAM dont change commute times, they only put more cars on the roads to make it look like they are used more. but still, your choice 4.gif

I'd try to convince you you need to change your mind about going emo on La Ciudad, but your personal life is your personal life. Perhaps sometime after realizing that freshman year is just one of many roadblocks you'll face, you'll have the ambition to come back to SC4. I've not posted here, but I've read your updates; they are extremely realistic with just enough roadgeekery to add some extra flavor.

Yeah, I agree with Hawkeye. Many CJs only update every month or so. We will all keep reading it, even if it is infrequent. However, if you go through with ending this, I will continue to read your CJs. All of your past journals and this one were the only ones I actually checked frequently.

I disagree... I've kept my CJ going almost two years but sometimes I go weeks and even months without updating just because all of us have RL to deal with.

The problem is not so much that I'm a freshman. I've got a bunch of free time, even though I'm in pre-AP classes. La Ciudad had begun to seriously bore me.

Ah well thats understandable as it happens to most all of us eventually. Do you plan to create a new CJ?

I'll probably create a new CJ. It will be like historic CJs from the past, except that there will be more growth before 1950, and that it will be much slower paced. Also, part of the idea for the new CJ would be to give the reader the ability to interact in a way following.

They may purchase or expand businesses, and pick a design for buildings in downtown (I say pick because "design" would give too much power to a person who didn't know how to use a BAT) I'm considering starting the new CJ today, tomorrow, or Thursday, and it will start as a small town in exactly 1870. The pictures are already ready, so I'm not sure what I'm waiting for.
