i  have made some progress with the seawalls

i made an outer corner lot, i will also make different versions of the straight piece so that they dont repeat themselves too much.

I would put some of those Iron peanut shaped things that you tie ropes around, it looks like 3/4 of a peanut. Looks Great

been busy with college taster says and stuff recently so i havent made much progress with the seawalls or anything in fact. however i was free today so i started on this:

please ignore the roof, it will definately look nothing like how it currently does,

and a night view.

 

the building is Tower Palace 3 http://www.emporis.com/en/il/im/?id=253085  and its the tallest building in South Korea and also was the tallest residential building for a short while,

i thought it'd be interesting to make as my next project .

also....

kings cross is being worked on by the BSC, i had this being asked a lot of times what has happened to it, just to make it clear i havent forgotten it or anything and it will be released!

just wanted to make that clear 

the seawalls will also be worked on a bit but i'd say theyre about 50-60% done, i may need to render them for custom LODS though

Wow, that building is really crazy.  It must've been a nighmare molding all of the window frames and glass around those multiple angles.  I know it wasn't easy when I had to do it for my One Starr Center skyscraper.  none of the facades were perfect measurments (ie, a 45 degree window frame was like 1.538 meters or something nasty like that.)

anyway heres an update:

i think the height of it is about right so the basic shape is pretty much done,

if you look at the roof you can see how difficult the shape of the building is

a view of  the nightlights

and the ideas i have for the building

ive pretty much done the pieces for the seawalls so heres a pic:

unfortunately look in the zoomed box and you can see the problem with the LOD,

this means more delays  and i want to be finished with this soon and move onto my other project

awesome looking tower!!! i love all the sharp angles of the windows/walls. and is that lighter top part of the building made that way by mistake or by purpose? cus it kinda looks like a bat thing, you might need to get a bigger light rig if it isn't intentional.

and for the seawalls, i think the wood is too dark, maybe it's just me? i don't know, but a more lighter one might look better. it looks really good so far!

i didn't have a big enough lighting rig, its fixed now, it might be an idea to make a gradient in the texture or something so it starts off dark at the bottom and shifts to lighter at the top but much much more smoother transition than that.

it looks like the pool is flat, but the ground isnt and so half the pool is underground,

try plopping down single tiles of road around the hotel so the land becomes flat
