The mansion is very beautiful for a place to live and the glass is perfect for the center roof. Better yet, it has classic beauty which older mansions have.

The mansion looks great.

What happened to the train station? I'm really looking forward to that one.

The back looks good, but wouldn't it look better if the back was brick? Just a thought.

Your next building looks like the home of a king, PM, or president.29.gif

The tower block looks great. Very realistic and depressing (in a good way!), plus the best roof-junk I've ever seen on a building. You should add satellite dishes on at least 70% of the balconies to really get that British chav housing-block aesthetic!

Great Buildings frogface, they look awesome. Especially the Mansion I've never seen any of it's kind in this game before which makes it unique. Great Job.

i might make another tower block so im saving some ideas for that,
smurfer: if the back was brick it wouldn't look as tower block i think. if you look in the photo that's how it looks.

i tried rendering it last night and it appeared like this
    /idealbb/files/Badd.jpg
so not good news at all, the graffiti on the entrance however wouldn't have shown up as it needs to be reset each time for some wierd reason so this time round i will remember to do that.
an update also on the mansion:
    /idealbb/files/FF_mansion2.jpg
i made the main room which you can see into through the skylight if you look very closely, but it really becomes visible at night!

Yeah, no kidding!  That great room in the middle there lights up like a chistmas tree at night.  So much, in fact, that you're definately going to have to spend a lot of time working on interior details like furniture and wallpaper.  Holy Cow, though, it's going to look stunning when it's finished.

That no texture thing has happened to me a lot lately, and it seems to only happen when I'm browsing the already exisitng material library to pick my textures.  To get around this, I try to use the eye dropper to pick already existing textures on the building, rather than looking for it in the list and picking it there.

To fix this, eye-drop-pick all of the textures that aren't showing up.  This seems to reset them and make them show up again in the render.  I sure wish I knew why the heck Gmax does that sometimes...  21.gif

Also, you might want to make the vending machines a little thinner.  It's Sim City's fault really, since it's so good at making normal things look fat after they're rendered.

It looks fine the way it is 29.gif, it was a late thought. Though you lost me in part of your answer.34.gif

Mansion: I really like how this is coming along. What are your plans for the main hall? I'll ramble off some thoughts: a long table, a library, a lounge, a pool...

well it failed again 32.gif another wasted render, i'll try that jawood but usually when i have this error it goes away after a second render, i have my suspicions maybw when i merged it with the building the textures didn't get passed over or something.
smurfer: tower blocks have a distinct look to them and that is what i meant 1.gif
the inner room in the mansion im planning for maybe a libary so ill add bookcases and chairs and tables, that'll be suitable i think.

Maybe you could make a Frogface Cola skyscraper - complete with lawyers for the fat people and parents driven insane by their child's sugar intake! (The one that caused Billy to throw the cat at the television!)

    LOL

b/s, I think Frogface Cola would be a cool thing to have downtown! 29.gif

pooty: not very hard but time consuming, i just made some splines and sort of made them to match up and make a grid shape, i think there might be an easier way.

    update time:
    /idealbb/files/towerblock10.jpg
got it in game finally! 39.gif
this is the ploppable version so far, got a few things to add, then a growable version and testing so it should take a while but should be out soon enough

Great job so far on the apartment building. I love all the detail on the roof. A lot of buildings have stuff just filling up space, but the way you have used it gives it a lived in feel. keep up to good work.

Your freedom is the most expensive thing you have, even if you arn't the one that paid for it... Use it well.

simcitymafis4: if you mean my desktop theme i got it with windowblinds i think,

in the mean time i'm testing and finalising the high rise, decided to call it Garibaldi Arms after the real building, once i can acutally get it to grow in my city expect an upload to the STEX

in the mean time ive started on a set of seawalls, mainly designed for my CJ as i couldn't find anything suitable on the STEX
    /idealbb/files/seawalls1.jpg

when it is built on higher elevations there is a lower level of boardwalk that will show up, you can se it if you look closely.
im planning for the basic pack: staight piece, outer corner, inner corner i will add a pier slightly later as an addon

i finally got the growables to grow!
this means just have to finalise the package and add documentaion and stuff and it should be ready to upload
    /idealbb/files/growabletowerblokk.jpg
for the growables there will be 3 lots, if these start popping up like weeds then simply remove one or two, if you cant get enough of these to grow then just add one or two.

4.gifWOW Frogface i can't wait too , will those beautiful seawalls come on the stex too? 4.gif

One note : I think it will have a nicer look if the boxes on the seawalls are randomly

I think you should do 2 seawall packs, one for commercial and residential areas and 1 for industrial areas. Mostly I would change the props around. I like the wood texture.

i dunno about doing more types of the seawalls, i mainly needed to do this style for my CJ but i'll consider other types, but not sure if i'll get round to doing it seeing how quickly i like to change project but i will definately think about it.

btw its not a texture 2.gif i modelled the planks individually 9.gif

I like the seawall. You should be proud of the time you put into it. I like the lower level boardwalk, it's not something that is in the other seawalls.

The Garibaldi Arms looks really good in game. I'm off to download it.

P.S. You sure have a lot of projects going on.
