SC4 Maxis Update Problem

I have SC4 Deluxe, Lot Editor, and BAT.  Only now, I realized that I don't have the EP1 update nor the nightlighting update.

I went to SC4D, downloaded and installed the EP1 update without errors.  However, the main exe is still at1.1.610.0.

How can I install the update.

The usual reason the patch doesn't take is that the Simcity 4.exe has been altered. Such as with a no-CD exe, or crack. Be sure you get the patch for the same region the game is. Look in the SKU folder to see which region the game is.

I also have Sim City 4 Deluxe and i can't update it.

the game was downloaded from the internet but the folders are ok

What web site did you download it from?

If your SC4 deluxe is not a legal copy, or just a downloaded one(for free)... then, no updates will work and you will also be frowned upon in this community. You should have the legal copy of the game.

If your problem occurs with a legal copy of SC4, try to place the patch file into the main SC installation folder and start it from there.

I always have to do that, otherwise I get an error message.
