Just a simple question:

I'm trying to make a farming village for the farming area of my region, and since it's in a new area (no neighbors) there aren't jobs next door. So when R$$ started developing they all went jobless -- are farms only for R$ workers?

Thanks.

I am pretty sure farms are only for $. BTW, that is a heck of a nice looking place for a farm village. I am not sure that is sustainable. I would think a village that size which makes most of it's living on farms would need little in the way of commercial other than a general store and perhaps a small restaurant. Those would be good additions if anyone who is good at that sort of thing is reading. A  general store and small cafe. Perhaps an old gas station with just one or two pumps.

There is plenty of commercial buildings in there, enough to where it looks like the R$$ should be satisfied. Weird, but to answer your question, farms are for R$ only.

Nice town too.

Work zots can also mean there is a very high unemployment rate , hmm... quite realistic for a farm town... but it looks awesome!!!

Try placing more farms(If demand has tanked , try reducing taxes) or placing a little bit of medium density industrial zones for more jobs in your city.

If you can get jobs up , you might gt those to go away.

That is a rather strange problem there , but you can always try zoning for other industries , see if that helps.

Hope this helps.

Hi, The Arrowz,

If your education is low, and you still have a fair amount of R$, which both are conditions for farms, you might get dirty industry if you zone industrial, when manufacturing would employ more R$$.  You might be able to keep ID from growing if you jack taxes on it, tho.  It should also help to employ R$$ if some CO$$ grows, but it needs higher education, so that might kill farm demand.  Tough balancing act, it is, trying to farm and have R$$.  3.gif

Have fun.
