Help with nightlights!

 When i'm updating the game (SKU...) it appears when I reach 21%

(Patch Warning): Old file not found. However, a file of the same name was found.

No update done since file contents do not match.

What is it?

What can I do for having my nightlights? :S

Probably you either didn't install the updates in the right order, or you didn't get the SKU to match the SKU of your original game. The nightlight patch gets installed last, after you have installed the Rush Hour/Deluxe patch.

This problem may be caused by incompatibility of the original and update - for instance different regional versions.

Or it could also be that updater doesn't recognize the file (it size most probably) As the simple mane isn't enough. This situation may be result of using "modified" or cracked EXE. For instace such that doesn't ask for a CD when game loads...

Have you tried installing all the updates in the correct order? Most often this is what the problem is. Or you just picked the wrong SKU when you downloaded the nightlight update. If you haven't ruled those two simple things out yet, then its far to soon to say there are no solutions.

Check the version of the SimCity 4.exe file.  If the update patch worked, then the vesion will be 1.1.638.0. 

If it is that version you may then install the SC4update4BAT.exe to get to version 1.1.640.0, 

Otherwise you may have a corrupt exe, as stated above.

i have checked...and it's version 1.1.610.0. ...! :S

.610 is the un-patched version of Deluxe, so it sounds like the SKU patch didn't take. You'll need to get that update patch (.638) before applying the night light patch. As others have mentioned, if you have modified the game's .exe with a no-CD patch, then the update will not take. If you have never used a no-CD patch or otherwise modified the game files, then you may not be trying the correct patch (SKU) for your version of the game. If you have tried the various patches and none seem to work, then you may need to re-install the game as a last resort. Just a thought...
