Need a bad city? Here we are... 18.gif

This is Le Burg, a small town that i built some month age. Tjis city is still exits, but i stop to play with it. The image shows the reason... 18.gif

And that's why i start rebuilding the city

"If you try to please everybody, you often times end up pleasing nobody, especially yourself. When somebody offers to do a favor for free, like making a mod for SimCity 4, you shouldn't be overly critical of something generously given to you. In other words, you shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth." - Twilight Sparkle after playing SimCity

"Being a mayor or a content creator for SimCity 4 is a heavy responsibility, Patrick. Each city and each custom content is like a child, and must be treated as such." - SpongeBob Squarepants after playing SimCity

"Without deviation from the norm, progress is not possible." - Frank Zappa

Here's one of my first cities, long before I discovered ST...
Square.jpg

I'm sure I've got worse, but this is the worst I could find at the moment.

These cities are very, very bad (in a good way)! Keep 'em coming!

mayor_brando this park is great for skateboard :-D

LE0 it's not about realism, i had problems with pollution, traffic and crime and i also didn't like the organize of the city. The new version will have tram, netter parks and a taller but thiner landmark ;-)

Most of my cities kept on dying when I first got SimCity - and by dying, I meant they went into the red horribly quickly, and I blew them up.

Then I got Rush Hour, and made a city which got to 50k with about 50k left in the bank - and I was on easy.

Most of my cities from then of have done better, so currently my worst city is Crosspoint Heights, which merely has problems with commute times being too long for some reason - I'm making rather huge profits right now, so I can do something about that. Here's the worst-offending example in the city:

Now I need to go and put in more bus stops.

Lol - what are the living costs in this city? What is the lifespan of the workforce? Any riots?

Bad news: I found my old SimCity folder.

Why is this bad? Well, it managed to remind me of Sela Ridge, the really old CJ I had on SimCity Central before I left and the site imploded. Most of the cities were tiny and probably weren't very profitable, and in any case they had far too much scenery for thier stature.

Also, remember when I said went into the red really quickly? Well... I also took out maxed-out loans, meaning that I had no chance of recovering the towns (and yes, they were towns) - and the fact that I supplied water and a lot of amenities to the fledgeling cities as well didn't help at all. 10 loans later, I can only assume that few of my cities from that time period made to even 10k.

Finally, we come to an oddity, Southriver City. It grew to 170k(!), but in the end it started losing a lot of money, and somehow dirty industries started popping up in the newly-zoned areas I made. I stopped playing it soon after, and focused on the other cities in the region.

So yeah...

aesthetically its not my worst city but its the biggest eyesore ive made!!! 110,000 people, avg income at around 16,000...crime rate at 70 and pollution levels through the roof. I actually had to close off certain parts of the city because they were to prone to riots. WORST CITY EVER...i still like it though lol

My cheapest and  ugliest city (on purpose) that is actually functional (after 30 years). No civic buildings except for fire stations.

Mods used: the NAM, Industry Quadrupler, and Hole Digger Lots.

Population: 40376 (medium tile)

Profits: §21464 per month

[update (several years later): I added some medium-density residential and some commercial, and now there's not much demand and I had to lower taxes to try and increase demand (which isn't really working that much) so the profits are only a few thousand simoleons. Population is now about 50000 and the city still looks ugly (like it's supposed to be).]

Overview.

5208293710_7b5128eb59_b.jpg

Close up of residential neighborhoods. Notice the trash in the streets.

5208293508_950efc36e8_b.jpg

Commercial areas full of cheap stores.

5208293628_4046930b61_b.jpg

Dirty industry.
