Hello 1.gif

I would like to download mods that recolor the landscape. That means the water, the grass, the rocks... you know. Before this, i would like to know if there are some problems with these mods and what i need to do to avoid them.

Thanks 4.gif

The main problems you need to watch out for are:

1) make sure you get all the dependencies the mod needs,

2) for most of them you can only use one of each kind at a time, and you need to be careful to remove all parts of a previous one before putting a new one in.

Terrain mods come in a few parts and you can usually have one of each part at a time:
a) Water texture mods

b) Terrain (and snow mods)

c) Rock texture mods

There is also a tutorial on how to install terrain mods, including details on some of the specific ones (also on SC4 Devotion) here: How to Use a Terrain Mod (Get it Installed Right)

Just a hint, but if you want realism, there's two mods to get. One is cycledogg's Columbus Terrain Mod (a massive terrain mod that takes an hour to download, but is well worth it) and PEG's Brigantine Water mod (very Altlantic coast appearance, looks extraordinary). Take a look at them, both are excellent must-have mods.

Terring: what is the name of that ginormous building in your city?

I think if you put park in the search something will come up...if not, type in "smoecrie"

    I'm writing a trilogy.
