She doesn't look like she can sing but is actually pretty damn good at it.

That's pretty nifty, but.... I'm not going to go so far as to say "score one" for anyone, seeing as this is from a reality TV show. And, by some unbreakable cosmic law, reality TV always sucks. So, it's kinda hard for me to have respect for someone who goes on a show like that. Even if they are good.

Cool Britannia has got awesome talent indeed.  While this particular program is not typically played here in the States, all the news channels still carried her clips introducing herself to the judge's cynicism and then flooring everyone with her amazing singing.  I was lying half-asleep in bed with the news running in the background, and I had to sit up when she started and then brought the house down.

I am very ashamed to admit I was thinking before she went on, that she wouldn't be good at all.

And 12 million views on one youtube video!

Really really amazing, specially when you hear all these negative things about the world and then one 47 year old comes up out of nowhere and is just amazing.

That performance actually made me get choked up and eyes water. She's going to win, it's obvious.

Just amazing how many people of all ages have listened to her singing on youtube alone, they've been over 33million views of the various videos of her, and the biggest one got over 5 million in one day. For a 47 year old on a site that gets a lot more younger people than the older people, is pretty incredible.

Us Scots all have wonderful singing voices. We needed to be a few centuries ago since Bagpipes were outlawed (they were classified as weapons). 

As for how long she'll last, well, I have doubts. Reality TV stars rarely famous for long unless they milk it (or are incredible stupid)... in a years time she'll probably be reduced to singing the National Anthem at Murray Field during Rugby Games, nothing more. (Somehow I fear i'll be swallowing those words, but its only a prediction based on past experience)
