User is not yet Rated

Can someone tell me what this means? Do I have to be rated by the mods before it's viewable or do others have to rate me or what? I'm just curious because I've noticed that its like this for new members but not for the older ones. And if it's security reasons I completely understand, just curious.

For about a week when ST changed to 5.0, users were able to rate other members on a 1-10 scale. It was turned off pretty quickly.

I see. I guess it didn't turn out too well! Does that mean that any member after the release of 5.0 will not have the info they fill out shown? I want to know because I'm debating on whether I should complete the whole thing or just not bother with it.

Of course Admins rate people! It's just on a smaller scale. Instead of ten degrees to rate upon, there are two: Worthy to exist on ST and unworthy to exist on ST.

He guys, I found out why nothing is viewable. It's kinda stupid, and I don't know why I didn't notice it before, but when you go to profile there is a personal options tab. And in that tab, there is a simple little option, "profile visibility." And all I had to do was move it from "no" to "yes." Simple. I feel dumb, but I never would've thought about it. huh.

in 6.0... what is this little smily face thing doing at the top-right corner of the screen saying "user is in good standing"

Think about it. Is it really nice for us to be rating each other on a 1-10 scale? Besides, it's quite prone to abuse. Someone who's a nice guy but has some unpopular opinions could easily end up getting rated down for that... which isn't really fair.

On the other hand, over at Sporeum, the user rating system is still active. But there, there's a reason: your user rating affects your evolution. So, turning it off would break the algorithm.
