While at work I realized that I forgot ambi-gay and bicurious. And above, I see I forgot Pansexual.

LGBBTT2QQAA. This is starting to look like a serial number.

Or a hand that you would get in some form of card game.

Personally, I think the acronym definitely going too far. I'm still, for example, trying to figure out what "pansexual" means. I met someone who claimed to be pansexual and I asked her what it meant. She told me that it had something to do with "not seeing gender" and being able to love anyone. I asked how that's different than bisexual. This conversation went on and on and I still don't get it.

Other definitions I've looked up online seem to define it as being open to any sort of kink. Frankly, I don't think kink is able to be filed under definitions of sexuality. More like fetishes.

In the end, I think people like to over-categorize themselves and the basic ones from LGBT aren't "trendy" anymore. In the spirit of that, I'd like to create a new category for white guys who like Japanese guys. In Japan, we're called "rice queens." So, can I have an RQ added to that acronym? (For the record, the opposite, Japanese guys who like white guys, are called "potato queens.")

Perhaps, then, what we are seeing in many cases with the extended identities is a desire to remain deviant. Since simply being L, G, B , or T has become ordinary and acceptable, there are people who would have previously been satisfied with it who now need to venture further out in order to fulfill their desire to identify as something different and out there.

To put it another way, it's hipster sexuality. "I can't be gay, it's too mainstream." :P

If it is hip to be gay, how many are fakes?

Almost everyone who says they're "bisexual". It's either a stepping stone to full blown gay, or an excuse by less-than-popular kids to seem different and therefore cool.

It's not really quite so simple. A perfect 50/50 split is every bit as rare as 100/0 and 0/100. A person anywhere between a 60/40 and 50/50 split, however, would probably find it difficult to judge which side was stronger.

Then there's the issue of gender. Studies have shown that male sexuality tends to be more black and white with bisexuality being far less common. In females, bisexuality, or something close to it, is far more common.

Then there's the confusion of adolescence. A boy may be around 80 gay/20 straight, and that's where confusion can set in. Societal pressures can have a lot to do with this. Such a person will have strong gay tendencies, but recognize that little straight part and think he's bisexual. At least, for awhile. What you say, six, is something that is far more commonly said amongst young people and fades as their sexuality becomes clearer. If you heard a man or woman in their 30s, 40s, 50s, etc. say they were bisexual, you probably ought to believe it. :) Teens and 20s? I just say "okie dokie" and expect a high chance that will change. :P

I am attracted to both men and women though I am so nerdy and awkward, I have not had any intimate or even vaguely romantic relations with anyone. I also plan on having my first such relationship with a woman.

State. The US constitution makes no mention of marriage of any sort. It's always been a state-level matter.

I'll also point out that the article you liked to contains a gaffe:

Six states - all in the Northeast except Iowa - and the District of Columbia allow same sex marriages.

There are eight states that have same-sex marriage: Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, Maryland, Iowa, and Washington.

Seven more states have civil unions of the same thing, different name sort: California, Oregon, Nevada, Illinois, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and Hawaii.

Aye; it's true. I think that we could see the Supreme Court rule that it is unconstitutional to ban gay marriage someday. That it's simply not the state's business.

As for North Carolina, most every urban county in the state voted against the amendment. But, the rural areas overwhelmed the larger cities and educational hotspots of Charlotte, Raleigh, Asheville, Wilmington, and the others.

I'm not sure but I think I consider myself bi, as I have had attractions to both ways. Though it's funny cause it's mostly towards anime things. NOT SAYING I WATCH HENTAI, cause I don't. xD

I am not really attracted to real people either. When I turned 19, I started watching live action "movies" though I looked at photos and adult manga at 18. The level of physical perfection in my tastes for men and women means that no one I have ever met ever turned me on. So on the 2D scale I would be somewhere between bisexual and asexual.

First of all I've got to say, I'm new to simtropolis, I joined because of the STEX. I hadn't even looked at the forums and I've just found this thread. I think it's great that simtropolis embraces diversity in a mature way and I think it's really great that this thread hasn't just descended into endless flame wars, trolling and the general extremist idiocy that the anonymity that the internet affords.

I find "physically perfect" people somewhat repulsive. As a result, most people I meet turn me on.

I know what you mean. It's not the best example (as she's my idea of perfection) but I preferred Natalie Portman before she had her nose job. Cookie cutter beauty doesn't do it for me. I think it just begins to look plain and boring when it's so consistently forced down your throat by mainstream media.

Physical perfection by my standards means (very) athletic, clear complexion (no blemishes), and no obvious implants.

This probably says something about me, but whenever someone mentions "implants", the first thing I think of is cybernetic implants, not mammary enhancement. I blame it on being exposed to The Borg at a young age but not knowing about silicone until I was considerably older. :D

Cybernetic implants are also a no. As hot as Seven of Nine is, I don't want a cyborg (or fembot LOL).

I am pretty much down on all disfigurements The current trend for various piercings repels me.

Indeed. Piercings (other than ear, at least) are a definite sign of lack of class that I have no tolerance for. Lip piercings I especially take issue with. They get in the way!

Tattoos... I'm not a fan of them but they're only a deal breaker if they're obnoxious in content and/or placement.

Then I might just be your Helen of Troy, no piercings or tattoos on this body! Not that I have a problem with them, just not my thing.

I do, however, spend an above-average amount of time in the bathroom. Mostly because I do everything in one shot (shower, deodorant, brush teeth, fix my hair, and all that.)

By the way: if anyone can recommend a product that takes care of blackheads and excessive oil, you'll be my new best friend!

Heh. Sorry boys, but despite my posting in this thread, when I speak of what I do or don't like, i speak of women. Just think of me as a male lesbian. :P

Have you tried hammemelis (witch hazel). Needs to be refrigerated and applied cold. Also have a talk with your physician about Tetracycline.
