Ontario is getting closer to having legal sex trade.

This ruling puts a gun to the head of the Federal government to either fix the criminal code or get out of the way.

And of course the photo at the head of the article shows two ugly old hags.

That's the inherent flaw with the idea of prostitution: you have to both be ugly and have no self respect to be interested in making it your job.

They serve a market.

I've only been propositioned once. The guy didn't even bother getting out of his car to do it.

Extremely small. Just the way we like it. 1.gif

Size is not everything.

Craig! I hope that's not a double entendre.

Congratulations, Ian. I somehow hand the impression you had tied the knot sometime ago.

It probably is, knowing him. :P

Anyway, congratulations, Zel - will your dolls be guests at the wedding? :P

0:)

And here I though Zel was the one who made the double entendre first.

(and Firefox doesn't recognize "entendre" as a word.. hmm...)

People seem to get away with prostitution here all the time. If you advertise on Craigslist as an "escort" or "masseuse"...

Funny side note, my city has more strip joints (full-frontal nudity and touching allowed) per capita than anywhere else in the country - even Vegas!

For both sexes, a lot of this stuff is way stereotypical. The size of the phrases indicate their relative popularity to the norm, and I actually had to shrink "The L Word" down to fit in our template. Meanwhile gay men's interests speak for themselves, evidently with an exaggerated lisp.

The statistics and the probability are so vague that it should not be named part of mathematics... ok, maybe exaggerated.

Thank's for the info.

I wrote a 5 page paper on a report that said that all women are slightly bisexual to fully pansexual and straight men and gay men more accurately reported their subjective arousal in accordance to their physical arousal (because it is more obvious).

"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit... Today is wedding day. :) Dunno quite how all this is going to proceed since we don't have rings. (Neither of us care for jewelery.)

ISF

Again congratulations. If you don't exchange rings, how about diadems? For those who don't know, a diadem is a ribbon worn around the head above the eyes. In ancient Greece it was worn only by the king.

Aww, that brings a tear to my eye.

No, really, it did.

Anyway.

I know I said earlier that I came out to my parents (effectively) some time last year... but for real (rather than just alluding to it), I did it last weekend. She was very supportive. And her initial reaction was something rather interesting: *whack to back of head* "Why didn't you tell me earlier?!".

That's one less thing I have to worry about.

When I came out to my parents about a year ago, I was surprised to learn my mother would be the one upset with me and not my dad. Dad didn't care and wasn't bothered, but Mom acted like it was the end of the world or something. :P

I've had no less than three friends come out to me (and others) that they're gay by announcing it on Facebook. My best friend is bisexual. I'm not "friends" with any lesbians, but I've met a couple. Recently, I had a friend come out to me personally that he was transsexual and was henceforth to be a she.

You know what my reaction to that last one was? "Ooh, L, G, B , and T. Now I have the complete set! Yay!" (not what I said, of course, but what I thought)

Something is seriously wrong with me. :whatevs:

Not at all. It takes all kinds to make a world.

Actually LGB and T is the Greatest Hits Edition. The full set is LGBTT2QQ. Lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans-gender, transvestite, two-spirit, queer, and questioning. And you could possible throw asexual in there as wel. I'm sure there are more. Non-heterosexual people love compartmentalizing themselves into highly defined niches.

I haven't heard two-spirit used down here. I think the meaning is covered by the term intersex.

On the general acronym front, I can't shake the feeling it's a result of trying to be politically correct and thus missing the entire point of an acronym (memorability). Probably because this is indeed the case. If you're going to make an acronym, it has to be either short (e.g. UN, EU) or pronounceable (e.g. NATO, APEC), and LGBT2QQ is neither.

To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.

Now this reminding me of George Carlin's "Seven Dirty Words" routine. There's the seven, and then the additional three for an extended set of ten. ^_^

If we're going to extend the acronym, I'm more a fan of "QUILTBAG". It's pronounceable. :D

While at work I realized that I forgot ambi-gay and bicurious. And above, I see I forgot Pansexual.

LGBBTT2QQAA. This is starting to look like a serial number.
