I am having a problem here.

When looking at the region the saved cities in the largest regions don't line up with other regions.

This looks like the 'high resolution' bug. If you render regions at resolutions higher than 1600x1200, you get that blue strip on large city tiles. Same thing might be happening when you terraform a new region. Try lowering the game resolution below 1600x1200. Then re-enter and re-save the city. Go back to the region and see if it's gone. Hope this helps...

I've been having the same problem.

So apart from lowering the resolution, theres nothing you can do about it? I was hoping to keep it running at 1920x 1200 15.gif

You only need to lower the resolution while creating or rendering the region. Once it's finished, you should be able to run the game at higher resolutions. Even after 'fixing' any regions with the 'bug', you can go back to a higher one.

This is true, to some extent.  If you create a region running at a resolution at or below the game's largest (1600x1200), then you won't get this problem.  However, once you start playing a city running a resolution above this and save it, the line will appear in region view for that city tile.

It's just a glitch seen in region view, and I don't even worry about it.  Besides, transport networks and buildings will still fill this area, so if you have a large city it might not even be a big deal.

I run SC4 at 1920x1200, which is worth it!

Best,

Likewise... I've only experienced the bug when I've forgotten to reset the resolution before rendering. Once I re-entered and saved the affected cities, I've never had the issue return. I've always assumed it's a glitch in the rendering process and not with the regular play and save routine once the city has been 'fixed'. Perhaps it's an invalid assumption...?

Yea its an issue that really sucks...Its amazing how much we can modify and alter gameplay, yet no one has discovered a permanent fix to the high resolution bug 18.gif 4.gif...just like we can find the cure for everything but the common cold...ohhh the irony...
