My Rail Network isnt working

I am using the latest NAM and I installed it correctly as far as i know but my Freight and Passenger stations always show 0 usage!  I have connected two cities with the rail link but nobody ever uses them.  What is going on? Thanks in advance

Maybe there is no demand for a rail network or people dont need it to get places, like there is an easier way to get places then rail. Or you may need more stations. Thats in my experience anyway. Could be a number of things I guess.

When you build a train station, usually it will go into use within a few sim days. You must have enough demand to actually see usage in the station. If your industrial transportation is already being covered by truck, then there really is no need to switch to train.

Also, if your copy of the game is "Left Hand Drive" (LHD), make sure you have the Left Hand Plugin selected when you install the NAM.  Otherwise your Rail networks will be pathless.
