How can you get the R$$$ to stop developing so much, because they suddenly build like 10 R$$$ skyscrapers, then all of them don't have jobs, then they get delapidated.

For some reason the rich have a tendency to move in faster. I have a higher demand for poor residential buildings, but somehow the rich keeps building even if their demand is lower.

Someone did a mod a while back to reduce R$$$ desirability to combat this problem. If you're looking for something more adventerous in expanding the game, I think the CAM mod has tweaks that have addressed this as well.

I already downloaded that mod, but with a lot of trees and healthcare, even that mod doesn't work anymore.

And my main problem is jobs, not desirability.

i agree with io_bg...a tax increase should do the trick. what's your R$$$ tax rate right now?

I have the same problem. Does the difficulty level of the game at all affect how desirable your city is to higher wealth sims?

Also, is there a way the desirability data view can be tweaked somehow? It seems to be very sensitive to even the slightest change in desirability. Right now 30% of my large city tile is apparently 100% green for R$$$... and I only have a population of 16,000 with about 30% of the map developed...

If you set the R$$$ taxes to 9.2% this will discourage the wealthy from over developing yet not make them all leave town.  No mod required.

The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older.  Shorter of breath, and one day closer to death."

Prophet42, it depends on the desirability. If it's too high, you'll sometimes have to set the taxes to more than 10 - 11 %

It's at 10 percent already. Maybe I need to go to like 12.
