Well, I hoped to continue Aleuton, but I hit a wall. Now I feel that I am better at making ctiies, so I started a new Aleuton, now called Greater Aleuton.

I won't be continuing the story about the siblings and the battles between the sectors, but there are still three sectors in Aleuton(like states) and they have the same names.

This Aleuton has more small towns and farms than the last, but also has lots of suburbia and large urban cities aswell.

This map is hand terraformed, and I've spent lots of time on this, please comment with good or bad comments, so I can improve more.

I should give update #1 around January 11th, but this is a BIG teaser 4.gif

So far Ganesville is Leading with three. I have only received 6 votes so far, and Jackys vote for Grof Meadows. Please keep the votes coming.

Ok It was a close vote between Ganesville and La Grande, but with 4 votes against 3...

Ganesville is the city you will be seeing TOMMOROW(tuesday) around 9pm PST.

Ganesville has a area of about 240,000 people, so it should be a rather large update.

    Thanks for voting guys!

    Presenting Ganesville!

    Year Established 1894
    Current Population  309,007
    Current Metro Population (About)

    483,600

    Sector The Middle Mountains
    Sister City Lena

    (Not yet Seen)

    ----------------------------------

    HISTORY

    ----------------------------------

    Founding 1894

Ganesville was founded in 1894, When the Aleuton Highway System was being planned. When "the Inspector of Roads and Things" found this area and decided to settle a new town here, and made it one of the richer Transportation areas of Aleuton. Then Ganesville was born, although we have no clue where that name came from.  The Inspector first put an ad for Ganesville in the MiddleWood paper where he was from, and the biggest current city. His goal was to get a few hundred people to start off.

    Expanding 1900

By 1900 Ganesville attracted 2000 people, and the town now had to start expanding, so the mayor began to plan. Then in 1904 the city got up to 3400 people and it the town created its first Buisness disctrict downtown, and then set zoning for apartments nearby.

With the new areas of town, people wanted an oppurtunity to get their piece of the pie and move in, and thats when the Ganesville Overpopulation Crises happened.

    Overpopulation Crises 1907

Word of mouth spread over Aleuton, and then throughout 1907 Aleuton almost Quadrupled its population with 12,100 people. The Mayor had to make a decision and fast, so then he set up elections for a Mayors Council consisting of 3 people. A month later with speed the Election, he finally had his council. The Mayor then Gave each of them a task to set out and start there own area of town, each consisting of a buisness district and a Housing District. and By 1911, there was room for 30,000 more people in the town.

    Town to City 1913

On May 17th 1913, Ganesville became the 3rd most populous city in the area with 38,000 people. The Sectors President Rodney decided that it was long overdue to give this town the official city stamp, making it a new hot spots for sims.

    Fire 1918

From May 29th to June 1st, the Scary 13 Fire happened. 13 buildings burnt to the ground, and only 13 people died, thanks to the Ganesville fire department. Still to this day little has been done about that area of the city because of its rapid growth.

    Mielstone 1923

1923 came, and on new years day the First Skyscraper was built downtown. Giving 6000 jobs to the now 105,000 sims in the area. This then caused a rapid growth of mid rise and tall skyscraper buildings all over the city.

    Sister City Program 1949

Ganesville hit 210,000 people in 1949, currently making it the biggest city in Aleuton. Then the Mayor decided he wanted to "spread the wealth" to help Aleuton prosper. The Goal of this program was to help out less fortunate towns and cities that have some sort of similarities to the more forunate cities, to cause growth of the country of Aleuton. The Mayor Chose The Plateau City Lena, with 27,000 people in it and one of the most populous of bottom rock, but people are leaving it like crazy due to the fires that keep happening.

    The Transportation Rush 1953

In 1953, with just a Highway and a Bus Network the Area began to get Traffic jams everywhere. So Aleutons first Subway system was built that now expands through out the metro area. This system reduced trafic to only a few of the buisness districs of town, and was praised by 93 % of all sims.

    Slow Down of Growth 1961

In 1961, Aleuton ran out of jobs and people diddnt want to start their own companys in the city, so the city's growth rate began to slow down at 265,000 people, The Slow Growth is still happening today.

Where it is today 1983(game date 3.gif)

Ganesville has a large population almost of 310,000, but with the slow growth that began to happen in the 60's it is only the third largest city. Plans are currently being developed for some sort of trade with other cities to help the cities treasury, which could realy help the city grow. Crime has Risen to a huge problem in the Southern Industrial Brahm Entrance Area on the outskirts of town, hopefully soon plans will be developed to help that problem.

    ----------------------------------

    Geography

    ----------------------------------

    Plants

Ganesville has alot of spruce trees and other nonvascular plants throughout the area, giving it a little but of a woodland charm. In East Ganesville you might find quite a bit of seasonal trees that was done in the planting project of '67.

    Water

Ganesville was built around the Gibbot River, and 4 frog ponds that bring beauty and fresh water to the city. It is said that without these bodies of water ganesville would be much smaller, as they helped the cities through the overpopulation crises.

    Land

Most of the land in the area is very fertile, although all farms have been demolished at this point. The Land is just barely aboved

    ----------------------------------

    Economy

    ----------------------------------

Currently the City makes a profit of about 9 thousands dollars a month, not very much compared to others, but in Aleutons Economy this is not that bad. Aleuton makes all of its money on taxes and Subway Fares, and the one Toll Road from Brahm to Ganesville. Every once in a while though they find gems in the beach in the beach by the bridge, and that has helped the city alot, also why its caled the Gem beach.

The Economy now is the horrible compared to years past, but in the past 8 months its been seeing a slight improvment, Ganesville might still have hope to survivor the money drought.

    ----------------------------------------

    Pics!

Ugh, Tinypic is being retarded, soooo sorry because this is already late, but I have to postpone the pics untill tommorow 15.gif

    I Have bad news.

My Computer got a virus right before I went to put up update two, this is why I hate sharing computers with my sister(MY SPACE VIRUS's! >.<)

We just got the computer wiped clean a few days ago. So there is no more Greater Aleuton.

So I guess Im just destined to not have a CJ, or maybe Aleuton is just a curse?

But I am going to try and persevere(Sorry if thats spelled wrong lol).

My First CJ sucked, and my second was better, although they were short.

So I have been spending some time trying to create a new CJ, because one day I will have my own (finished) CJ!

    ---

Sometime between 2 weeks from now to 3 months from now you will be seeing Sacred Valley, my new CJ. It is a Snow City Journal, because I havent seen one(or havent found one). I have lots of STEX Commercial buildings, and Im working on getting some more residential. I got my night lights working, and I got the Bridge height mod.

Sacred Valley is made off of two main rivers coming off of the coast, It Is a Fictional Metropolitan Area of Alaska, Near the Border of Canada.

Sacred Valley is a Metro area with lots of oil drilling and industry, with some great commercial districts and residential skylines, branched out into suburbia.

Right now there are 3 mains cities and 3 smalles cities in the region, but just the basic things have been done so far.

Any Suggestions would be greatly appreciated(really, I want an amazing CJ).

    Thanks.
