Well, I forgot to comment, and I must say that all of the parts that you've done are still very good. And, you mentioned me in a small part, which is one of the reasons I like it. When I saw it for the first time, I was like NINTEN! OMG THAT'S ME!!!!OneEleven except less hyperactive.

I didn't have time to bring all the huge update in one piece, so I will do it in 3 pieces over the week.

Let's talk about Axis a little bit here (and come back later with the pictures), which everyone is talking about in the last few weeks. The Gaburan Ambassador Ciroyon, and Mayor of *Axis Central*, as he calls it, now has officially started working in the northern part of Axis. This part will contain the Downtown and the Center of all the Axis townships.It will be called Axis Central. The older part will be called South Axis.Mr Vegetabls is already working on the plans for the east and the west parts of Axis. The East will be Axis Suburbia and the west, being on the shores of the sea, will be Axis Harbour. In all the Mayor Ciroyon will have 4 Townships to govern.- The general population can't get over the immensity of his plans and thinking that this Stranger from Mahoon is largely exagerating.Mr Vegetable, his Project Manager, thinks he will make it come true, whether or not anyone believes.

Vallen Nexis had no comments , when Medias asked him for his opinion, and he walked away shaking his head in disbelief. Mr Nexis, now the most important man alive on Genesis, had also announced the beginning of Nexis City, but he loudly and clearly stated that it will not be as quick as the Gaburan Ambassador, but maybe better, he silently mumbled at the end.He also said something about  building a space station for Genesis in the futur and that he was looking for young students full of ideas and energy to plan ahead such a project.To the Media he said:*It doesn't mean, while we are safe here on Genesis from Opall, that we are in a safe haven.So Nexis Inc. has decided to do some Astromical Research too, and going into Space.*
Some students have been hired for this program, such as : Tim and Evermind (Vallen was impressed by her expedition story of the Evermind mountain, up the Smurfer trail, and of course her ideas for the project). For the LBST, Vallen hired  Joao Otavio, he will work with the scientists to find a solution to its malfunctioning.

 

Vallen's Son Troy , now happily married, has announced today some of his plans at the same Media meeting as his father. He will definitively continue Nexis/Dice Electronics and make it more powerful than ever.The electronics are not available from Uru anymore.He officially hired the fellow that was responsable for the Waterpumps in Grand Dam and gave him the contract to design and build the first Nexis Electronics Office in Axis and the manufacturing plant in Nexis City. Brett was more than pleased to hear that.* Working for the Nexis Family is like having a dream come true*, he proudly said to the Media.

 

The Razor Blade Logging Company was again hired for the  clearing of the land in Axis,which will keep them so busy that they have refused momentarily the logging on Nexis Island.

 

The Underground waterpipes , the Powerlines, the train tracks and Highway 1 were already here, so construction did not take long to start.Several Companies from Gloryville,New Sholes, Axis South, Tenzel and others have already bought their terrain and some some started the construction also.Also the demands for residential lots are in the hundreds. * So far so good* , Ciroyon shouted to his accountants and lawyer, named Mr Night from Grand Dam, very new to this region.- A new Highway intersection was createdin, what should be Downtown later.

Elizabeth White , now working for the *Beautification of the Highway Project* has started to show her talents with the planting of some ornamental trees on each side of the roadway.*It will be like a Green heart* for the City with lots of blossoms and also absorbing a good part of the noise, created by the traffic.

The Townhall,the Police Office and the Central buros of Axis have their foundations done.Also on this street the young Computerfan Henry Zeddicton, bought a small lot to build a small computer store.Being the first in Axis, I think there will be a nice futur in store for him.

A close up of the same area with a old-style Tavern, which is already ready to serve all the Construction workers.Here Sherlock Holmes the IV , a newcomer with dreams of building a Security agency,works as a barman.

The overpasses on the Highway have long been finished and workers are more concentrating on the buildings now.

A big project is the Highway bridge that will lead to futur Axis Harbour.Since the canal was built to mostly drain the land, it will also be very useful for inondations from the heavy melting of the mountains.The canal is connected with the Northern Region and also with the east down to the sea. Smaller ships will be able to reach the downtown of Axis.-Bridges will be build in two steps, more or less a bridge over a bridge. First the giant piping will be layed to drain the normal waterflow and letting in smaller boats. Then for most of the roads, there will be a higher bridge over that, to make sur that even with heavy inondations , the street trafffic won't be handicapped.That will be seen on a later update. These are the ideas from the Gaburan, since they all have this on Mahoon,a planet of many inondations, they say.

A close up of that Bridge construction over the canal.A fellow with the name of Alexander MacVicar, who was lately hired for handling the machinery to dig out the canal bed, found some ore in this area. Surprized he started of thinking, that it could be mined later.His Forman told him to stop dreaming.*Miners are for Minors* he said* You will always stay poor with mining.* Vicor just looked at him with a triumphal smile.

Hardly a month later and already some Nexians moved in and some say, they already have some traffic jams in one place.Hm....The Indoor Arena that was created ,draws a lot of people from everywhere, and Mayors from smaller communities are worried about losing their population already. Again, Vallen Nexis was asked for his opinion in a Major Mayor's Meeting in the Capitol,and he once more walked away, shaking his head in disbelief, but stopped 10 meters away, turned around and said: * Sure, there will be some that are leaving, just to make room for the Newcomers again. And by the way folks, do you really believe that One City will be for all?* he added, * There will be more than one great City in this region, believe me, even many better ones than Axis* ,he turned back and left the room.

 

One thing left, somewhat strange and it doesn't really surprize me either, but....it makes you kinda wonder...ya know? Dr Evel (still some ask themselves, Dr in what?) has bought a small farm in Treeland and now he is running all over the region to catch these black and white animals called Llama. He wants to raise them.....but, to do what after?.....I am just repeating what some folks on the street said.

I am prodly working on the team that resarches the failuer on the LBST Preliminary tests are bing made to discoer what is causing the distortion on the light beam, but still we had no succes on diagnosis the problem...

 

Amazing constructions... Loved the way you buillt the city Construction lots are surely entertaining to make, I made one myself some time ago

Cool new city you've got there. I love how you integrate all your props intoyour city, and that you are the first city jounalist, excuse me, ruler, to delve into the vast emptines of space. Well thanks for the good read Mr. B (whats your first name anyways???) for all your hard work and devotion. It seems starting early on a cj before you make it was a good idea, especially since you aleady made most of the pics of it.

Thanks, and btw, the next update ( in 2 or 3 days) will even be better, you will get the chance to have the first look at a growing *City*, the first one on Genesis.This will start the competition of others to bloom also.

Zeddic: you said you wanted the store in Gloryville, I know that, you will get there in time, but for now, you start in Axis. (can't tell you why, but read the story as it comes)

Ninten1: The rail over highway lot is somewhere in my plugin folder.....lol...that's where I got it from, besides that I have NO idea (sorry). I don't know where all the lots come from, hard to remember when you have over 2000.I think I either got it from a french site or japanese.....or was it german.lol

Just to make sure that you all know, because someone pm'd me, telling me that he doesn't understand what pictures go with what words. : I always explain above the picture, never under them.

 

....Update number two of Axis, the third and last one will be on the weekend or next week.And then we go back to Uru, Gloryville and Black Lake.

 

Axis, a young City growing like mad! Is it going to be a Mega City? Appartment blocks are being build like there is no tomorrow. Quality doesn't matter, as long as they are safe and quickly finished. This picture shows the real middle of the town, with the giant Highway Intersection coming from the Northern Region and going to Axis South, Grand Dam and the futur Axis Harbour, where Razor Blade Logging Industries have already started clearing the land.

 

Vatt, the fellow that works for the Park in Gloryville,(with the money he earned) ,he found himself a little new home here in Axis City, wanting to finish College in general science and chemistry. *A not-so-expensive home near the canal is the perfect place to be for the moment*, he mentioned,while he was interviewed for the Gloryville Tribune,* and also not far from the College, which will be build soon.*- On this photo, we can see the deviding of the Residential and the Commercial districts by the Canal,which is not quite ready yet.

A closer look of the beautiful Canal in Axis City. Here Wren Trey bought himself a home near the canal also, not too far from Vatt. His neighbor being a fisherman, Wren can buy all the fresh fish he wants. Now looking for a good spot to build a store in Axis City, he was hired by Troy Nexis to open a detail store for Nexis Electronics. But being a stubborn young man, he pulled all his Simoleon cents together to build himself his own store. He just went to the First National Bank in South Axis for a loan for his home,since he invests all his savings into the store.

Another close up of the Residential area of Axis City, where both Wren Trey and Vatt now have their homes. -Having done a beautiful job on the Harbour in Gloryville (which we will see after the Axis Part 3 update), Ninten was hired by Ciroyon to do the same finishing details here on the Axis Canal. And as we can clearly see here, he's done a perfect job, so nicely done, that some say to have seen Barby taking an evening walk on the Canal walkway.Talking about Barby , I guess I have to take a couple of days off at Barby's Vacational Center in Gloryville. They say that it is one heck of a place to relax and forget the stress of the City.

A Nightshot of the Downtown area of Axis City. The law of this City has not really taken root yet, we can see this by watching people just throwing they garbage in the parking places. Police Force will move in by next week ,they say, and the garbage probably will be expedied soon. The Mayor Ciroyon is already talking about the garbage deals with the neighbors, trying to find the less expensive and most effective one.

The three bridges over the Canal. The Highway Bridge, that we saw the construction of in the first Axis Update, then on top , the Avenue Bridge, that directly connects the Residents with downtown and on the bottom, the covered bridge, built mostly for beauty. Here Smurfer is painting the frame of this bridge, making himself some money for his futur projects. He always appears here and there, doing odd things to make his living. With Smurfer trail in his name now, he doesn't have any problem finding jobs.Last week, someone said that he was seen mowing the immense Lawns for Vallen Nexis with his friend Rilian, and the week before, Evermind's neighbor swore he saw him working on a dairy farm in Treeland, cleaning out the barn.

This is the Avenue Bridge at night, when everyone is going home to watch the  tonight's football game in Gloryville on TV, just at the corner where Vatt lives. Everything south of here on the Canal is a park, created by Elizabeth White, after she finished the Highway beaufication project.Many Citizens respect her hard labour she has put into theses beautiful parks.- On this Blvd, Jim has been working on residential bldgs,he even built Vatt's and Wren's home.

The Highway to Axis Harbour is separating the North and South  Residential parts. The Road signs that you see here,come from Swamper,who is working his brains out at the moment. He has finished the Grand Dam signs and started working in Axis City now.* I will soon build myself a shop of my own in Tenzel,* he said to the Journalist,* I'm sick and tired to pay the rent on that little garage I have in Axis south.It has become too small anyways for all the work I am getting now.*

Trains are getting bigger and longer, especially here in Axis City, where a good part of the population take the train, instead of their car.

The Highway that comes and goes to Axis South. Here we see all the folks from Axis South coming in to Axis City to work in the morning. Also near this intersection is the Indoor Arena that so many people love to come to and of course the Giligan's Pub/Tavern where Sherlock holmes is working as a Bar tender and just bought 50 % of the Pub to invest his money.- May we remark the beautiful and practical surroundings of the Highway, that Elizabeth White has just about finished.The trees will act as a Sound barrier and a partial pollution absorber.

Adley Hawklyn, a new arrival to Genesis, just bought himself a couple of hundred acres of land for a cheap price in the west fom Axis, as if he is speculating something that we don't know of yet.He built the Hawklyn Valley Farms on these acres, north of the Powerline from Grand Dam to Axis.Land in the south of these wires were too expensive for Adley, so he concentrated more in the north, where he owns 35 % of the township now. Must have had a lot of money,when he came, or a lot of debts now.By the way, he is the only soul that lives in this township.Poor Guy.....

To keep you all updated on how the region slowly changes, here is a picture of the eastern side of the Genesis Region.Still to discover are the extreme South-east, the North-east and the whole middle and West section of Genesis.(everything on the left of this picture)- On this satellite picture, we can surprizingly see the arrival of Axis City, which is already immense and also see the harbour of Gloryville. Can't wait to see a close up of that.They say it's nice!

 

Another Newcomer, but already known somewhat , is Freddy Bison (mrbisonm...yeah me...) who has been around to tell most of this story. Almost retired from Architecture, he is beeing more or less of a *Bum* now, just strolling around from one township to the other and trying to figure out what everyone is doing. He doesn't have a steady home yet, but is looking for the ideal place all the time. A lot of folks on Genesis know him as a quiet,simple good guy, that loves hunting and fishing, but with a very strong political influence with the Rulers and the rich folks on Genesis and Uru.

I don't have any lots of Peg in this City yet, the walls of the canals are simply my work, the canal is Oppie's. You will see some of Peg's lots in the Gloryville Harbour soon.

 

About the bridge height, it is simply the lowest that I can make.

So, think of it as a mini-update now...lol

 

In the first week of existance of the canal,the Mayor's office in Axis South received already some complaints about a fencing system near the canal, but it got worse, when the first child fell into the water, just behind her home. Luckily the kids knew how to swim and got out of it with only a good scare.

 

The next day, the City workers installed a fence, now making the canal impossible to access behind the houses.But another problem has come up and just to show how complicated People can get, there are new complaints, about having too many fences now...........Ciroyon's jaw just fell open, when he heard these news, mumbling to himself, *these Nexians are worse and more complicated than I thought.*

We will be going back to space and Uru in the next update following the third part (and the smallest) of Axis. We will talk about Opall, only about a century away, about the Malfunctioning of the LBST, about the new planet and about a space station in Genesis Orbit, that Vallen Nexis wants to build.

Also, we go back a bit to Gloryville, see what has been happening with the harbour and the Town,and some other townships, like Tenzel.....you won't even recognize it anymore, since they finished the harbour.Even myself I couldn't find my favourite little Seacrow Pub at first.
