I was thinking about starting a new region since I have a grasp on most of the game functions.   I was wondering if its possible to get a region without any small city tiles.  I want a region with only Medium or Large city tiles.

Please help.29.gif
Thanks

Thanks guys for the advice, but it still doesnt help me.

For one, I dont understand all that technical jargon in the tutorial, nor do I have the time to figure it out.  Secondly, I still cant download things for I dont have the internet at home.  I was just wondering if there was an easy way to do it from the game option or something.

    Thanks again

If you create a new region and then (before opening any of the cities) exit the game, you can go into the region folder and change the config.bmp (you can open it in MS Paint, which comes with Windows...). If the entire BMP is one color, you will get all the city tiles the same size.

If I remember correctly red is small, green is medium and blue is large...

You can also use this trick to make the region larger or smaller (by changing the size of the config.bmp)

It will ONLY work with a brand new region in which NONE of the cities have yet been opened.

You can't do it ingame unfortunately... SCRACC is rather easy to use once you learn it. It's probably the easiest way there is.

There's not all that much technical stuff to it really. All you do is edit a little .bmp file and you're done - I think you can even use paint.

EDIT: writingliberty beat me to it 9.gif

    Okay, try this -

Make a config bitmap by opening any image editing program and creating a new file that is 16 x 16 pixels in size. Paint the whole thing blue by picking a color that has RGB value of R=0, G=0, B=255. Save file as config.bmp in the folder of the region you want to create. This will create a region with all Large cities.

Paint the whole thing green (R=0, G=255, B=0) if you want all cities to be medium.

Resize your greyscale map image to 1025 x 1025.

That's it! It really is simple.
