Modding and the Tab key

What I would like to know is how to make buildings and/or networks accessible via the Tab key? I've seen the NAM overpasses and other miscellaneous networks accessed by the Tab key.

I'm going to drill this into your head right now. Tab rings are for NETWORK PUZZLE PIECES ONLY!

They do not work for buidlings or any other type of object. Trust me, you don't want to go through the work for making puzzle pieces anyway. It's a lot of work.

There is a way, but you would have to turn the building into a Puzzel Piece, that is more difficult than anything.

It would envolve modding of a RUL (0x0000002 I think), and it would have no effect or base textures and props...

Wasn't it also determined that civic lots made into puzzle pieces did not function? I remember reading that the lots could not be queried.

Yes, any "lots" in a TAB ring would be eyecandy only.
