Of course Vista ultimate doesn't work with Linux. Their different Operating Systems!

I have an idea how about go to a public library ( use a flash drive/removable drive) and download those dependecy their instead of asking here because no one cant to what your aasking because its illegal ( i think).

P.S. if you donlt have a flash drive just use a blank CD and save it there because most public library nowadays have a CD-R Drive....hope it does in your are.

person with virgin shores... linux is an os that is downloadable for freee off linux.com and i like it so i dl i used ut but when they r mixed my browser safari cant host certain sites like smf 1s this my dillema

Why do you need to intall SMF? When I registered on the LEX and SC4D, i never had to install anything. And just downloading Linux didn't mess up your computer. Now if you tried to install it, it might be a bigger problem. If your browser is giving you that much grief, try downloading Firefox(which is free) from:  here

As much as it pains me to think of the vast intellectual potential of this thread, I have come to the conclusion that is is about as worth while as that little splatter of spaghetti I have had on the just-out-of-reach upper corner of my kitchen wall for the last three years.
