I used to build NAM road cross avenues bridges on the canal just like above, but couldn't do that any more.

Any body know what that's going on please help!

Thanks!

It looks like you used the road onslope pieces to make the bridge, and then used a canal piece with overhanging prop to make the canal go under.

Road onslope pieces are found in the road puzzle pieces icon in the roads menu. Select, then tab through them all to get to the onslope pieces.

I'm sorry, but I don't have road onslope plugins. I'd built canal first then put a road cross avenue bridge puzzle on.

I think that because the water level is higher than the avenue, so the avenues are totally hidden under the opaque water.

when I put a road cross ground high way puzzle instead, the highway fences would appear on the water.

The NAM doesn't build "canal bridges".. this is only accomplished by the canal menu items and whether or not it has the appropriate "overhand" lot for the "bridge" you are trying to use.

This is when game bugs come in useful, simply plop the elevated road puzzle pieces on top of the canal, no special lots are required just a standard canal lot. if you don't want the pillars in the water use the elevated road over avenue piece.

I have tried all of the puzzle pieces and can not seem to get it working, any additional help/info very much appreciated. I am trying to build avenue over canal (This part is fine) but connecting it to the ground level avenue is my issue.

A screen shot would be very helpful here so we can actually see what you are trying to do.

    Welcome to Simtropolis...

    Are you asking this...?

Once you have the Avenue-over-Canal built...

You use the Raised Avenue ramp pieces in the Transportation menu to connect to each side...

Once those are in place, you can drag regular Avenue from the stubs...

After you select the Ave-over-Canal piece from the menu, use the "TAB" key on the keyboard to rotate to the Ave-over-Canal Wall piece.

wow how could I miss that one.

I've read the desc which mention "no boat passage" but didn't notice the wall :P

great thanks for your help ....

    Hi!

I was trying to follow CaptCity's tutorial, but I keep getting the "Cannot place on top of reserved tiles" error message. What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks!

Are you trying to drag the road through the raised pieces to make the connection? These are puzzle pieces and won't work that way. You'll need to use the height transition pieces (they look like ramps) to connect from the raised road bridge (L2) to ground level (L0). After placing those, you can drag the road from the lower end of the transition piece.
