Good Traffic Controller

i am looking for a good traffic controller that will make the game seem like real life. And i am not talking about the NAM, because it sucks for me and is not life like. Does anyone know?

could you explain what you mean with lifelike? Such as better commute time / pathfinding / traffic capacity / other?

I am talking about how far the person is able to drive and realistic commute times. that sort of stuff.

I know you say it didn't work, but when installing the NAM did you check the speed-thing or whatever it is? Your sims should be able to travel a whole lot further... don't hold me to this though. Otherwise I don't know of any other mods that do this.

I wouldn't say that NAM sucks, it's wonderful and should've been implemented by Maxis themselves, so kudos to all contributors for fixing what WAS broke.

That said, I do have a problem with NAM simulators - is there an option where Sims would take extended car/train/bus rides but NOT walks? I.e. walk only 7 squares, but be able to traverse the city by train?

what are the best settings so that people travel far and fast. what are the settings i should enter while installing the NAM????

If for your personal use you want to do certain things with the traffic simulators, you'll have to mod them yourselves.. it isn't that hard actually.. there are pitfalls, but hey.. you can do you own thing.. I think over on SC4D there is a post with all the meanings of all the simulation variables.. you can make them what you want.. There are reasons for the settings that are "built into" the NAM but if you don't like it or have a special need, change it
