Pollution Metter Red

I have about 10,000 people in my city. I have no air pollution except in one far corner where i have some dirty industry. However some time latter i check the pollution(i think after i load my saved game) the city is covered in a cloud of smog and then when i check the air pollution levels the whole city is covered in red. I have tied bassicly every air purification mod in the Exchange(and placed like 20 of the items in my map), and none work. I even tried the radical oridnances mod and this didn't work.

I even deleted the entire industry section of my city and yet still the smog remains.

So does this sound like a faulty mod causing the problem?

Is there a cheat to disable the air pollution? I hate to do this because I prefer the realisim factor of having to deal with some air pollution, but I can;t even put a dent in this smog. Any help?

Many air pollution mods on the STEX use values that are so radical, the pollution "wraps" around so that instead of reducing pollution, it actually increases pollution by huge amounts. I don't remember the exact way to fix it, but try removeing the plugin (without deleteing the lot) and let the simulation run. If the pollution doesn't decrease, don't save. You should make a copy of the city move onto your desktop or any other place besides the region folder which the city was orginaly in.

Well it took about 10 min of putting trees down in god mod, and finally got it down and from there and with a few anti-anti pollution mods got it down to nothing(but thats no fun is it 3.gif) anyways, let me get this right...say your air pollution level is value of 50, and you add a few anti-pollution mods that have a value of 75, this means its gona take the value to -25 or +125? I'm guessing the second from what i saw....

Thanks for the advice, much appreciated!

0, actually. I mean if a lot has a pollution value of -100000000 or some insane number then it might become +100000000. There's a threshold where the game messes up with big numbers. I don't really use anti-pollution things, since it makes you dependent on them and it usually costs you in the end.
