Wow, thatr road system is un explanible. So complex, way off from a grid. I mean wow, just wow. Also the city on that road system is great.

I love how half of the mainland is suburbs. It makes the place look realistic. This is my favorite city journal. Keep up the good work!

Thanks, glad you like my maps, MayorTim 1.gif

I haven't given up map making actually. Just been a bit busy with other things, but I have made some other maps to date, including 'Ragnarok' which I made today. You can download it and some of my newer creations on SimCitySphere's MEX. When I render them I'll put them up on Simtrop too24.gif

Thanx for all the positive feedback guys!!! That is realy what makes me keep up my city journals. I have 4 or 5 that have been discarded. Each I think is a little better than the last, and I will continue to keep up cjs for every new region I start on. Once the comments diedown, and I notice a fatal error (I usualy make tons when city building and there is probably one just down the road from me in this region.) I will quit working on a region and start a new one. This, so far is the longest and largest cj and region I have ever made. Thanx again.

Can you give us a shot of the whole region? Also If you could get your region pop up to about 1.3 million people I think it could reallymake it look realistic.

I worked on Verona and started the agricultural plain today.

First up is Verona. Im kinda short on time, and there isn't much to explain, so I will leave it at this: I did a lot with it on building placement and added a lot of BAT buildings. Here ya go!

Your downtown Verona is awesome! And I like how you put parks in there, it makes it look much more realistic.

Here is the first update in a while. Its not veary big, but for now its the best I can do. Today's update will be on Catilina, were a new park and some more suberbs have been added.

    /idealbb/files/p149.jpg

Here is Catilina's ever growing downtown. Its newest addition is the Turning Torso Building, which is now the tallest building in the city. It was designed by JEC who is a local resident of Gotland.

    /idealbb/files/p242.jpg

Finaly here is a photograph of the newer area of Catilina. In this picture you can see the Gold Line Railroad, The Old Town Gate Park, and the new suberban area.

In regaurd to Simmax: Thanx for your comment! There is no real reason I named that city Catilina, other than my atlas wasn't with me, and I couldn't think of a good Italian name, so I used the first name to pop up in my head. Call it bad taste, but I like it.<ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/images/smilies/3.gif>

Well, your region is beautifull. This last udpate is pretty nice, but the park with the Berlin Gate [dunno the name] and the rails I don't like them x )

The trees and yards of the houses give the pictures a great touch. I see you are using some mods and lots, are you using cheats / radical mods ?

oh btw can you get a picture of this last city, but from the highest zoom ? thaaaaaaaaank you

Dig1tal: Sorry you don't like my Old Town Gate Park, I got my inspiration for it from St. Augistine FL. I was trying to make the impression that a wall used to surround the city but was later destroyed and all that was left were the gates. As for the Gold Line Track, I am thinking of revamping it and making it better. If more people agree, I probably will.

Thanx Jcab. I will make a whole in depth article on it once it is completed. Right now I am waiting for some Bat Buildings to be finished.

If you put medium density zoning around the downtown core, there would be a smoother transition between downtown and the suburbs. Your city looks great! Keep up the good work!
