    i hope you realize that its just the wall portions...lol...

    rail bits shortly...gotta do icons and lot set up(random colour stuff14.gif)

    heres what i mean about the balcony piece
    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//illusionyoubet01.jpg align=baseline>
    its really an illusion what your seeing is half prop and a bit of overlay texture like so...
    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//illusionyoubet02.jpg align=baseline>
    the purple shows the exposed overlay...cool eh

    heres the overlay used
    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//JeronijNew%20Diaz1nonbat.jpg align=baseline>
    it gives the same illusion sloped to left or right...since only one half or the other will show...neat eh...had to wrap my head around that one...
    anyways back to work modeling

    i think there needs to be less of an angle on that line, make it more straight, to make it right...

    na...it all depends on the forward slope... you would have to make an overlay (and lot for that matter) for every 5'....the textures stretch the greater the inclination of the wall....distorting it ever so gently at varying degrees...but ya i know what ya mean...it was an experiment afterall....i still think it holds merrit 16.gif

    realistically i think it can be done more efficiently with the lods...by extending them up above the balcony model...which is what ill try next...thanx though48.gif

     edit ...may be your right ill try altering the texture first...dont know...ill try

    Hello buddybud,

    thanks for the explanation about the fences, The multi prop fence is a concept that came to my mind some time ago, but since I have no BAT skills, I must work with what I had in that moment.
    btw, I cant download the beta file. The page opens correctly but the download does not start 41.gif... Any suggestion ?

    Where do you get all those cool bridges? I searched on the STEX but couldn't find them.

    Anyways, wow, very good, smashing, etcetera, etcetera. (You get what I'm going at)

       Very good.36.gif35.gif

    You have some amazing talent! 9.gif

    Just a bit of a whacky question, but you mind showing me how to make a slope-conforming wall? Thanks. 2.gif

    Nice work. Those rail bridges look spectacular! I like the trussed ones a lot. 35.gif

    I downloaded the beta and installed it in my plug-ins folder in the same place as the other concrete walls, but I don't see the extra lots in SimCity.
    edit: In the POWER menu, teach me not to read the thread thoroughly

    great work so far buddybud. you have made excellent progress and i can't wait until these are released!

    hopefully someone here can answer a question for me, and i figured this would be a good place to ask since you seem to know how to terraform pretty well.

    i asked jeronij this question in a PM, but i am still confused as to how to build overpasses (road over ground highway) like the one in this picture:

    u11bnv042ou.jpg

    i have all the necessary files (network addon mod, ground lifter lot, terrain slope mod, no bridge height mod), but i still cannot build a road over any type of network and have it be flat. it always turns out bumpy, just like it says will happen in the hole digging lot readme file. can someone please give a step by step process on how to accomplish this?

    Cow:

    You'll need to use the road puzzle-pieces in the NAM to make that kind of bridge, you use the road-over-ground-highway-piece above the highway to get a road going over it and then you put road-T-on-slope-pieces at the slopes besides the highway.

    You find these pieces in the transportation-menu at the bottom. You select road-puzzle-pieces and nagivate through the different types using the Home and End keys, it could be Insert and Delete depending on your keyboard setup/layout.

    I hope this helped you 1.gif

    Actually, the Home and End keys rotate the pieces. You use the Tab key to navigate forward through the pieces and Shift+Tab to navigate backwards through the pieces. Cow, the piece you saw in Jeronij's pic is the Straight OnSlope Road piece. The T-OnSlope piece is for if you want to have a T or + intersection next to the overpass.

    thanks swamper and pjot, i figured it out. even though there are diagonal road-over-ground-highway and road-over-blank puzzle pieces, one thing that appears lacking in the nam is a diagonal on-slope road puzzle piece. therefore, i don't think it's possible to make a diagonal road overpass using this method. bummer if this is correct...

    I had tried raising a embankment to at least 15m. I tries to screw a road tunnel through  the  embankment which only 14 m high. But I still can't make a tunnel. Can anyone explain why42.gif

    The embankment has to be at least 3 tiles thick or the tunnel won't form.

    Believe in only what you can prove.
